If you do buy a dash camera make sure to use a High Endurance memory card, not a regular card. Regular cards will have a much higher rate of failure and could fail when you need it most. Don't take that risk.
Its also good to take the card out at least once a month and watch the videos on your computer to make sure the camera and memory card are still working well.
