Keep in mind that these are not networked (I didn't realize that there were other Mr Beams products that did not network). I didn't think I'd care too much about the feature but it ended up being nice where one would activate at the front of the driveway and the rest would activate as well lighting a nice pathway Smilie

Depending on your use case, there are networked ones (I think the model numbers end in N). Hoping for some sales on those!
That would have been my thinking as well. But now after 5 years of trying various solar lights, I would give these a go just because they are not solar. Two out of three solar panels seem to burn out within a year or two irrespective of the brand. Plus solar are dependent on how "uncloudy" the past couple days have been. With these there is no need to worry about where the sun is or not. For the past few months I have these Mr Beams going good rain, shine or dark and cloudy days which I think is just as important. You do not want a light that comes on only when it want to - you need a light to come on when you need it.
All that said this is not the best deal for these lights. Sept 10th they had the MB330s for a little less than $9 on Amazon and that was the best deal.
I have the "large" version from almost 2 years ago when the three pack was on sale. Still on the same 4 D cell batteries, and just now the one unit that triggers constantly is going dim. The other is still bright.

Mounted on my back porch, where I take the dogs out every night/early AM (and it triggers every time) they are way brighter than any solar light I have ever seen. Tree line is 75+ yards away and it lights up about half way there no problem. Can see deer etc at the treeline on dark nights (not well but you can see em).

If I did the math correctly, the battery lasts 16 hours.

I wonder if this would be good to use as a hair light for photography. Probably not since it's only motion activated and shuts off every 20 seconds.

Battery life will vary based on individual uses such as no. of on/off, lenghth of on time each etc. Temp. will also affect battery life as well as type of batteries used.

These lights are pretty bad. They are very weak, and heavy (due to the batteries). You're better buying solar motion sensor LED lights if you plan to use them outdoors.

The amount of positive reviews seem to indicate otherwise. Being battery powered also keeps the price down and most people here are interested in getting the most bang for their buck.

Got one for in door use only. I am from north where in general using battery powered light won't last during the winter times. It will be dead in couple of days. When snow, it till trigger the light to on and off and it kills in one day. For in door is fine.

These are great but heavy and d batteries leak if not used for a while. It's perfect of shed lighting. For driveway, Solar based led from Costco for $29.99 is way to go.
