Dell Outlet has some very good refurb deals on AMD-equipped laptops, with a one year warranty and free 30 day returns. Not many in stock so YMMV!
Some good Ryzen 5/Ryzen 7 configs still in stock.

After applying coupon, I'm seeing exactly what OP posted... 580 - 17% off in cart.
And can anyone venture a guess at how it compares to a Thinkpad? I've been using a T450 and love it but need a performance upgrade. Also using it with an Ultra Dock for a 4k TV (used as a monitor) so I'm wondering how much extra that'll run me with the Inspiron.

If you are not planning on gaming at all, Intel i5 is probably better.
No comparison to a Thinkpad tho. Those are build like a tank still.

Inspiron vs a thinkpad isn't really a fair comparison. You're comparing a home laptop to a business grade laptop. Generally it would be Latitude vs Thinkpad.
The laptop has dockable options, but you can just plug in the monitor directly to the laptop.
Haha they're really pushing those. It was also a recommended accessory when I ordered a $25 mouse.
Last time I purchased from Dell outlet a few years ago, I ended up returning it for a better priced laptop. They emailed a return label and it was really hassle free.
A quick Google search and it looks like they still do that as long as you initiate the return inside of 30 days. Perfect time for it since anything may drop on BF (though unlikely to this price level)
