Ok so there's no info on smallnetbuilder about this is thing, no record what kind of processor it has, and no indication of custom firmware support online from my google searching. I'm getting it for a client and he doesn't need anything fancy, but it'd be nice if this thing could take tomato or ddwrt.

What I don't get is the nighthawks are rated so highly, yet other people say never get a netgear router.

I am trying to decide the best router to get for a SMALL location, while only really considering nighthawks and asus routers. Also, if anyone happens to have a Nintendo switch and uses either of these brands.... let me know how your speeds are on it, because the switch is very picky and with my current router it gets less than freakin 1mb/s many times. From a connection of almost 100Mb/s.
