Audioholics loves the monolith home theater products. They gave glowing reviews of the amplifiers and subwoofers.

Yeah, wish I had the space and could afford to bite that right now.

The Monolith series is fantastic! Can't say enough good things about them! It's a good gateway drug into big time stuff! Like having four 21" subs!!

I'm looking at the 10" sub. It shows free shipping and return on Ebay. Will Monoprice really pay for the return shipping cost in case I don't like the sub?

I would go for monoprice. I've seen the drivers of those pulled out of the cabinet in person and they are so overbuilt and beefy it's amazing. The boxes are bulletproof too. You may give up a hair bit of output but probably not much.

This is a nearby friends house. He built an incredible theater. It's hard to describe 140+ db sound system. It makes you body tense up and really bassy parts you start to sweat. It's amazing!

That is not a good price for the multi channel Power Amplifiers. They are cheaper from their website without any coupon. Did they raise their ebay prices for the coupon?

I also saw that. Free shipping on eBay.
By the way, these new ones seem much pricier with XLR.

Call it a draw.. PB12-NSD is once a year special.. Monolity 10" is year round availablility.

Those monolith subwoofers are a beast! I do have dual 12" Subs. I can't say how clean and tight their sounds are.

They didn't jack the prices of their amps from their ebay. It was the same the whole time probably ebay price is more expensive cause of the fees and free shipping. I guess when you buy directly from their website shipping is not included.

It was alright as I bought and returned one when I got it on sale for $1,050 with Monoprice's 20% off deal earlier this year. My mistake was trying to use it as a sealed sub to match my PSA S3000i, but to be fair, I also listened to it in all of the ported modes.

Overall, I definitely like the PSA better than the 15" Monolith. However, the problem I had with the 15" Monolith was during certain ULF scenes in movies like the Washington Monument scene in Olympus Has Fallen is you could actually hear the driver itself make noises a part from the actual LFE signal! Something you should never hear on a professional sub unless it's failing! The amp also turned off twice while I was watching movies which was unacceptable to me. The other thing that was unexpected was that I had to turn the gain almost all the way up and hook my AVR up to 2 RCA jack in the back of the Monolith to get comparable output to my PSA.

I admit, I may have just had a defective unit, but I didn't want to take my chances with another one so I returned it for a full refund with freight shipping. I know all of the audiophiles sing praises about Monoprice's Monolith line and that's fine... I don't mean to belittle their experience, it's just didn't work out for me. I love the sound and non-localization of my PSA S3000i over anything I've heard so I just bought another one.

Not at this price. Monolith sub rarely goes on sale, usually excluded from Monoprice sales.

Would any of these subs pair well with Polk lsim 707 and 706c?
