The limiting factor on this particular monitor is the input types (HDMI only), and that is because of the ultra-thin form factor.
If you want more I/O, but still want this form factor, look at the S2719DC. It has USB-C and HDMI, with a 2 port downstream USB hub. It's also DP1.2 compliant over USB-C, so if you have a newer high-end laptop, you can deliver data & video over a single cable. I bought that version, but it was obviously more expensive.

I really debated about getting a quality 4K IPS panel and USB-C, but I did not want to spend over $500 for a monitor.
If you don't need USB-C and can live with HDMI only, then this thread's deal is also a great price,
