Anyone using Ooma for their phone service?

1,145 679 December 27, 2018 at 06:27 PM
I am sick of giving so much money to AT & T each month for a landline and someone mentioned Ooma. It works much the same way as my current phone, but for a fraction of the cost.

Any ideas? Pats or pans? Is there something better out there?

Thanks in advance.

I think if you don't want all the upgrades, caller id , call waiting ect. its only a few dollars a month. When I tried it the upgrades were $10.00 a month if you prepaid for a year. Easy peasy to use and set up, but I went with OBI because I wanted to be a real tightwad.

I am not familiar with that one, but will investigate. I am the world's biggest tightwad, BTW.

Thanks.

The OBI was pretty tricky to set up with 911 and caller ID service. If you just want to use your Google Voice number with Ph number only ID it wasn't real bad. If you can reset your computer, you could probably do it.

We have Ooma at three couple different locations. I'm very happy with the service overall.

OOMA works really well and the basic plan is pretty cheap.

easy to set up and use.

That said the 10 bucks a month for the call blocking and stopping to me is worth it.
I have it so does my MIL and my Dad all have had zero issues.

Got Ooma back in 2009 and it's still working well for the parents.
