Appreciate you posting but that thing will not hold up. Save for something better.

Have you owned one? I realize it won't be the same quality as the higher end brands, but for those that want to begin pellet smoking without a huge investment there is no better option.

Great deal, I can never recommend an overpriced traeger, you're just paying for the name.. If you want to spend a grand or more there are far better choices than traeger (rec tec, grilla, gmg, etc).

I've had my pitboss for a couple years now and one thing I love about it is the flame broil option (direct flame from the burn pot), it's really small though so can't sear more than a steak or two at the same time.

If buying this smoker, I would get an accurate smoker thermometer to ensure you're at the right temp, most of them at this price range have inaccurate inbuilt thermometers. You want something at grate level anyway.

I have not owned this one personally, but have looked a million of these grills. I can tell by the pictures its junk. The only one I would buy under $400 is the pit boss classic. Its well made and holds heat well.

That grill will last no more than a few years. Put a few extra dollars into the pit boss or wait for a sale on GMG or other higher end brand.

Wow. You must be some type of savant to look at a picture on the internet and make an informed decision that goes against actual reviews of the product. How can you teach this ability to others? That way no one will have to ever bother reading reviews again.

I love my Traeger grill that has lasted 8+ years. I highly recommend a pellet grill. It does ribs, briskets, chicken, burgers, dogs, seafood better than anything else out there. Bacon on a pellet grill is incredible. There's a reason most competition winners use pellet smokers. It feels like you are cheating but the results can't be matched. The only thing most pellet grills can't do is sear steaks (temps don't go over 500 degrees well). But you can cold smoke a steak for a bit then put it on a hot gas grill to perfection.

It's been this price locally for a few weeks and should be dropping again soon. I'd say $150-$175 would be the buy point just from a quick glance and comparing it to previous deals.
