I see on Ebay there is a seller named - Tadd Wholesale Supply. This guy has alot of HF stuff and prices I can't believe. Example the 7" Variable Speed Polisher/Sander 92623 many sold for $15 - 25 with $10.95 S/H. A bunch he states looks new but has previous been used? How can he get used stuff. Anyone know of this guy and how he's doing this?
He's cheaper than HF at their best deals and coupons sometimes.

I just check out what you are talking about. Have you ever wondered what happens to all those items that are returned by HF customers. I think that is what Tadd Wholesales Supply is all about. I looked at some of those items and they look like returns and opened boxes. That place is like the HF of HF. That's kind of scrapping the bottom of the barrel. But if I ever want a spare part, I know where to get one for cheap now.

I find that it's 30 days if you want to use a Q that gives a lower price, but 90 days to do a price adjustment to match lower price of same item without any Q's. Hope that helps. I do it all the time.

I must have been repaid by HF over $100 year to date. It's worth it, since I live so close to one.

Side note: I have 7 HF where I live. I can buy from any one of them and return items or price adjust a my local HF. Sometime my local HF is out of stock and I want it NOW. So I hit up all the other HF. If I have a problem, I just make that return to my local HF. COOL. laugh out loudEEK!Coolvomit

So if i want to do a price adjustment WITH Q after 30 days its no go?

Haha I'm in the same boat as you, also a Houstonian! So far I only go to two HFs and one is my favorite.

I never tried after 30 days with Q. Give it a try and see what happens. It is HF after all.

Shady seller. I bought a pole saw from them that was listed as 'untested'. It arrive DOA, then I checked his auctions and some were listed as either 'working' or 'untested' but none were ever listed as broken or malfunctioning. They initially gave me a hard time with the return until i mentioned that they could easily test the stuff they had since they multiples of the same item that use the same batteries. They immediately gave me a RMA for return right after that. A week later I noticed they listed the EXACT same pole saw I had returned as 'untested' again, I knew it was the one I sent back because the box had my labels and was beatup in the exact same spots.

It's in the 4/7 [sltrib.com] ad on the Salt Lake Tribune website.
How do you get the ad big enough to see or print the bar code/numbers?

WOw - that is pretty Shady - so untested always means non-working. That's what it always seemed when I bought non-working Cameras a few years ago on Ebay. I guess Tadd is doing the same thing. Glad you got a refund. I wonder if you could have done a Ebay not as described claim and still get your money?

I don't like to do that because it almost always screws the refunding store in retail.

Yeah I guess I'll pop in and ask them if it's doable. The staff at my favorite HF is are almost like bargain agents. They're all well versed in all the HF tricks and seem to make sure no one misses any. Not to mention super friendly besides That's why it's my favorite! A major improvement over the grouchy-a** branch I used to frequent.

Haha.... I bought the metal detector also. It's for my daughter 7 years from now Smilie.
I don't even need it but we do have a big lot that I can hunt at.

Because of you.... On Friday I purchased this Metal Detector. Not because I need one (I already have one) but because "some day" in a few years my 3 yr old son and I can go find treasure together (probably wait 4 or 5 yrs). Once I saw the scan of your receipt with the 25% off on this I decided I couldn't pass it up.

Investing in my future - I call it. (Aka. HF addiction)

Thank you!

Yes. I have the 25% from this thread and have used it at least 6 times. I was referring to the free flashlight. Thanks.

I can verify that the free multi-meter without purchase doesn't work...... Well at least not for me. :-(

Went to HF and it was a "no go". Pretty much everything was out of stock. Now that I think about it I didn't see any employees, any shelves, any stock, anything.

This is all I saw.........

Maybe I should call ahead next time....... But what is the phone number?????Wink

I'm interested in buying either one of the following semi-automatic tire changer:

http://www.harborfreight.com/semi...90589.html
http://www.harborfreight.com/semi...67517.html

I think I will go with the less expensive one since it operates on 110v vs 220v the other one runs off.

So today, I go into HF to order one, but the manager says the HF mail order biz is a separate entity from their store (I knew that, but I figure they can order it and ship to store). and they cannot order it.
He did say he had tire changers in the store about 4-5 years ago (I never remember seeing it).

Have any of you ordered special order items from your local store?
I want to use the 25% coupon on the tire changers.

I did email harbor freight to ask if these tire changers can handle low profile and runflat tires, but didn't hear anyting from them. Does anyone hear have any experience with these HF tire changers?

Thanks,
Gary

It seems with there new system, they are able to charge it back to the original store where you purchased the item. I went in and simply asked if I could make return even though I purchased at different HF. Cashier stated that it's no problem. I also noticed that if I state my phone number at the different HF store I show up in there system. Name, address, phone number and customer ID. Before, with old system, I was only in the local store's system where I did most of my shopping.

Anyway, I will be shopping (purchasing) more from HF.laugh out loud That mean more video reviews.Stick Out Tongue
