I'm not up to coming back on SD quite yet, but thought I would come post and let you all know what's been going on the last couple of months.
Frito Bandito, is going in tomorrow to be put to rest (won't eat/drink much, can't stand up). She's really upset about it, but he has no quality of life, and he's had a good long run, so hopefully she'll find peace with the decision.

Sorry about your mom's doggy - love the name! I love unique names like that.... my 95 yr-old great aunt (of rather boat-like Italian descent) has a little dog named "Capone". People are afraid of it - it stands about 6 inches off the ground! A true Chicago Italian doggy!!!

My great-aunt, who used to babysit me waaaay back in the day, had two mini-Pins named Pancho and Dukie---they were the vilest, most poorly-dispositioned dogs I think I've ever met (or maybe it was because I was like 4 or 5).
Of course, then there's my SIL's rather poorly-named Chihuahua, Cuddles, who was anything BUT cuddly. He met his fate when the family cat literally PUSHED him down the basement steps. Kind of a Bette Davis-esque ending, but almost makes you wanna laugh...that cat just wasn't gonna take any more of Cuddles' crap, I guess...

We had a baby kitty come down with FIP one week before DH and I got married-- completely out of the blue. One minute he was there, then next he was being taken away from me.
