All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Does anyone think I will EVER win the Pace game? I mean statistically speaking with a 1 in 20 chance you would think that if I play 20 times I will win once. Right?

Has anyone else had issues with their Kashi bars being hard as a rock? I purchased a few boxes during the gift card deal and the expiration date is at the end of April. They were stored in my pantry, which is at average temperature. I finally opened one of the boxes and I believe if you tried to eat many of them you would risk breaking some teeth. The other box is the same way, so my DH drilled holes in them to put them on a string for the squirrels or other critters in our backyard to eat. They didn't even break apart when my DH drilled the holes! EEK!

I called Kashi and they said this isn't normal, and they offered to send me coupons for replacements. I really would rather have a refund, as my DH just thinks they are made this way and I didn't think they were very good. But I didn't want to complain to much, as I figured I'll just give the next two boxes to the squirrels if they are that hard, and won't buy them anymore.
Replying to myself, as no one else stated how hard their bars were, I guess some others like these hard as a rock bars that could break your teeth. laugh out loud I talked to a few friends since this post, and apparently these bars are made to be hard and so is Kashi cereal for that matter I was told, so my bars weren't anything out of the ordinary. I guess people who can eat these products comfortably must have squirrel teeth or not be concerned about harming their teeth. No way would I let any of my children eat these, as they have good teeth now and I would like them to stay that way. I also wouldn't even give them to a friend or donate them to unsuspecting people who might think these would make a nice treat or not be able to afford dental work!

The Kashi dish that is offered for free in the freebies thread looks delightful on the other hand, and looks like it is tooth friendly. Reps to the OP of that freebie!

Which bar kind are these? We've had the cereal ones [kashi.com] and we're big fans of those - they're soft and chewy

I just opened a box of the "soft and chewy" ones and found them to be rather dry. Hope the other boxes are better....

The ones I had were the hard granola bar type, and hard is a huge understatement. I haven't tried the cereal bars that are soft, are those like nutrigrain bars? Those sound like they taste pretty good and would be tooth friendly. Maybe and hopefully the coupons Kashi sends me will be good for more than just the hard bar type and I can give these other kinds a try. Now I am a bit excited about the coupons.

Yeah they're like nutrigrain - I prefer nutrigrain (the Kashi aren't as sweet tasting as the nutrigrain) but my mom likes the Kashi ones better

thanks guys! i wish people would lurk for at least a month b4 rushing in where angels fear to tread. i've been here awhile, that is a long while, and i still can't wrap my head around some of the deals... like tuna. i think i need multiple q's?

thank goodness i have a thick skin online or else i would not be doing what i do now. and, i take full credit for coming up w/ the idea of recapping which is now done in other popular threads like cvs and kmart.

who doesn't like getting reps? i'm not asking for reps for myself, although i do love getting them. just reminding everyone to go back and rep the person who originally posted the deal! which was not me, so that's why i occasionally put in the reminder.

and yes, it does take a long time to do recaps, really time i should be spending doing other things, but it's just my little way of giving back to the community for all the great deals i've been given.
FYI - I have contributed to many Target threads and do look at it frequently. So not NEW to thread like some assume.

I misunderstood slowtech comment on reps - so sue me. I took my comment down immediateley. So how about all you other people's "not so nice" comments and "bashing" what's your excuse?

Personally I don't like the recaps - it just clutters up the forum with stuff that's already been said - making it longer and longer and add that to all the "chat" and it's endless- so I usually just skip it, but notice I said nothing bad about that - just misinterpretted the rep comment. - grow up everyone and try to be nice.

New here? You should actually read the thread. Slowtech donates alot of time to recap important posts, so people don't have to read through tons of BS to find good deals.

They aren't asking for reps for doing the recap, in fact, just the opposite....making sure the readers rep the person from the original post which the recap is quoting.
No - not new here - been here since 2006. Thanks for asking.
As you can see i edited out my comment within 5 minutes of original post - misinterpreted rep comment. Did not have anything bad to say about slowtech's recap.
Quote from stickergoddess :
All slowtech is saying is that she does not want the reps for the info in the recaps--- And to rep to OP. I think it is nice of her to remind everyone to rep the OP if you read something in her recap post that is helpful. slowtech is not begging for reps.

And what deals are you are contributing with this really loooong, useless post? Next time, try multi quoting them all together and posting your reply ONCE instead of cluttering up the thread with the same answer posted 5 times!

Found a new tear pad w/ 2 q's, $1 off a 5 lb. bag of potatoes wyb 2 McCormick Bac n Pieces and $1 off potatoes wyb 1 Lawry's Seasoned Salt.
