Hi there-- Definitely worth it to make the registry at Babies R US, even if most of it you won't use. Besides the registry completion Q, they'll send you lots of other Qs-- lots of 15% of any baby gear Qs and stuff like that.

We got the registry completion Q about 1 month before the due date, and it's good for three months, but only for things on your registry BEFORE the due date, so make sure you add lots of stuff. There's lots of stuff I wish I had added but I was so clueless before he was born. laugh out loud You probably have a better idea of what you really need.

We actually did pretty well with his furniture there. DH applied for their credit card and so got 10% off any purchase. Then we went to go get the stuff over President's day weekend, and they were having a special on the stuff we'd registered for: buy 2 pieces, get the crib for free! Just dumb luck on our part, stumbling in to that one. Then we got $30 back in reward certificates from the credit card. (Of course we could only get the furniture b/c the grandparents paid for it!! His furniture is the nicest in the house now; all the rest of our stuff is all hand-me-downs and mismatched crap. Big Grin)

Last week I got a $50 off $100, sent it to my email and when I went to use it, it said it had already been redeemed! I told the customer service guy I would call the better business bureau on them if they didn't accept it. The guy gave me the Spanish inquisition about where I found it and what time and I told him exactly where and what time and they finally accepted it.

Yeah, this is ridiculous. I took a screen shot and I might email them. Grrrrr... they suck.
