When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! This is a chat thread, so I'm chatting. We're going to Disney World. Taking a 9 year old and a 2 year old. We took them last year, too, and here are the best tips that I can remember.. anyone want to add more tips for me so I'll discover some other helpful things?

1. It rains in Florida. A LOT. Make sure to take a stroller cover. (Will always remember this, as our stroller got rained on about 6 times last year. Along with everything in the basket, including diapers, wipes, books, snacks, etc. EEK! You see what I mean.)

2. Make sure you hit water rides right before you're heading to your hotel. It's not fun to walk around in damp/wet clothes for hours.

3. If you buy t-shirts, etc, do it right before you're heading to your hotel or (if you are staying inside the resort) have it sent to your room for free. Then you aren't carrying it all over the park, on rides, etc.

4. Pick the park that is NOT opening early for resort guests to visit first thing in the morning. Because everyone from the resorts go to the park that IS opening early for them. laugh out loud

5. Carry a small kit with these things: hand sanitizer, wipes, band-aids, blister covers, sunscreen stick. Make sure everyone has their own sunshades, sun hats, and rain ponchos and is wearing sunscreen.

All you Floridians out there, what am I missing?

Hey, can anyone tell me what some awesome really cheap or free things are to buy at Target? I'm heading there tomorrow, and I wanted to get as much loot as possible, since a 30 mile drive more than once a month or so, it's not gonna happen.

Any suggestions?

If you need Quaker Oatmeal, Cereal or Granola Bars, there's a gift card deal this week. It's in the ad, which you can look up online for your area. It's buy 5 selected items and get a $5 GC. There are a lot of Quaker coupons that can make this free or almost so.

Bring your HBA coupons and check the endcaps for clearance. Lots of Listerine, bodywash, makeup, etc. on clearance. Good deal/cheap, depending if it's something you need.

Check the wiki in the deals thread also, lots of ongoing things posted there. Here's the link: Target Deal Thread

I'm a Floridian who just experienced Disney a few times this fall with a 2 year old. Your list is great. I would also suggest that you bring a small soft sided cooler with drinks. Since you'll have the stroller to put it under and won't have to carry it. I always take a small cooler with snacks and 5 or 6 bottled waters, Sobe laugh out loud , Juice Boxes, Boxed Milk. I always think they are going to tell me when I go through security that I can't bring them in but I've never had a problem. Last time I even asked the security guy what they were looking for (besides weapons obviously) and he told me "glass". So stay away from any glass bottles, but pack a bunch of drinks for sure.

Since we'd been talking about coupon organizers, I figured I'd post an update. Here is the one I ordered:

I didn't think I was wild about it at first, but as I'm getting more used to it, I'm liking it more and more. I don't carry it with me at all, although I could easily plop it in my car. But it is my coupon "home base" in the house, and I know that my Qs for T are all in there. I don't know that I have a great organizing system in it yet, but I roughly know where my Qs are.

I think Thrifty had said "go big or go home" with regards to the organizers, and now I'm thinking that is my one regret. There is one larger model and I actually wish I'd opted for that one. Then I'd have room for not only my T coupons in there, but I could keep my K coupons, and other "general" Qs as well. They look big, but there are only so many Qs you can get in each "section" before it gets difficult to flip through them and see the Qs. Here is the big one...

Thank you..! We did that last time, too.. but we're changing it up this time a little bit. We're going to bring drinks for morning time with us.. then we go back to our room at lunchtime to have lunch/nap/rest time before heading back out about 2:30. We have a meal plan this time that will take care of snacks in the afternoon, so we won't have to carry anything around. I think I took a change of clothes for her last time, too.. just in case of pull-up leaks or drink/food spills. Thank goodness I had sense enough to zip them into a Ziplock bag so I'd have the bag for the dirty clothes - if I hadn't done that, they would have gotten wet in the rain when everything else did. laugh out loud

nod You can pack a lunch and bring it to Disneyland. We preferred our sammiches over the high priced/unhealthy park food anyway. I forgot I packed a tomato and a knife to cut it and had to ditch the knife. Doh No tomato slices on the sammiches & we shared the tomato like an apple. Roll

BBlue, I am Blush I haven't even clipped a single coupon to put in mine...I am a coupon slacker! I need to get my nice new organizer filled!

I did purge old inserts from Sept of 08 over the weekend Tomato

Hey, they are filed nicely in a box...just not clipped and not in freaking date order.

I need the Ty Pennington of couponers (preferably one that looks just like Ty) to come to my house and give my coupons an extreme makeover. laugh out loud
