This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I assume that's why i didn't get another Disney theme park vacation until my teens, LOL
Oh, and I hurled on the teacups. Loads.

I just wanted to pop in and thank everyone for the help yesterday, got some very close to free Granola bars! woot

great! Now I'm even more excited to go Annoyed LMAO a Giant mouse and a freakish looking 'princess' would have done me in as well. I've been nominated to ride the teacups since my husband will hurl just by looking at them.....I just keep telling myself, 'it's going to be a GREAT week...'

May have to suck it up and get a fannypack for essentials. I just can't imagine wearing one though...LOL shake head Does Coach make fannypacks?? Scratchchin

oh and if you have a special charater meal planned...double check your reservations at the front desk. My DD's Cindarella dinner on her bday was mistakenly canceled.....I was at the concergie sob and crying about my stoopit travel agent and my poor little girls bday is ruined, just ruined and the guy behind the counter was able to find me a table although not until 7:30pm -- which in my family is really late for dinner and good behavior but it all worked out great.

Once you finally got to eat, how was it? We are hoping to get in there next Sunday night, my brother keeps checking at guest services twice a day to see if there is any cancelations.
Well it really wasnt about the food...all the characters did special things for her because it was her ACTUAL bday....the ugly stepsisters paid most attention, they were just so happy we werent ling about her bday...she said sooooo many people say its a bday but its been like 2 months. Cindarella came over twice and prince ccharming kissed her! she was so shy but loved every minute of it.
The food is a big buffet, im super picky about what i eat but the kids were happy and so was dh. hth

I might be blind...but has anyone found any good q's for M/M's? I'm gonna need about 50 bags for a class reunion this summer..our colors are the light blue and yellow...the easter ones (minus the colors we don't need) will be great! I can't seem to find any good q's.

I have to share a funny story....I keep finding stuff in carts in the parking lot...
1st was a 12pk of soda on the bottom of the card
2nd was $5 bill (it was raining..soaked)
3rd was one of those drainers on legs....in a bag at the bottom of a cart..it was dark they must have missed it.
4th (last night) was a $20 bill just flying around.
In all cases I've looked around for the 'owners' and have seen no-one.

Now...what would you do?
1..take items into CS incase the 'owner' shows up (yes this inc the $$)?
2..leave the item in the parking lot incase they come back looking for it?
3..put the stuff in your car?

NO arguing or telling folks their answers are wrong, but what would you do?

If it was money ($20 or less), honestly I would probably keep it. I don't think owners would come back to a store looking for money they think they left in a shopping cart. I mean, if it were me, I'd assume someone had already taken it. As for left-behind groceries or store-bought items, I'd probably return it since if that happened to me, I would probably call the store thinking I left it at the register or something and ask if they have it around somewhere so I could come back and get it.

I think I would probably bring it into customer service. That would be the first place I'd go if I had lost something.

I accidentally left my ENTIRE Wallet in the shopping cart once. We were getting ready to leave for vacation (within hours) and I had like $600 cash in my wallet. I realized what had happened within 10-15 minutes. Drove back to the store and my wallet was still in the cart and everything just as I had left it in the parking lot. Good thing the cart people weren't working hard that day Smilie

I personally return whatever I find to the CS desk. I know the sinking feeling and panic of losing something I NEED. Never know what that $20 or $5.00 means to someone. Of course, if it's just a $5.00 you find floating around, I doubt anyone is going to return and say "Did someone turn in my $5 bill" But if there is any identifiable information (wallet, peronal item, etc I always return it).

We did take our own stroller. There is stroller parking everywhere. I never left anything valuable in mine - I just had a small baby bag with wipes, diapers and a few snacks/drinks in it. No one ever bothered it.
We're yearly visitors to WDW (sometimes twice or even three times), and we've needed a stroller of some flavor on all but our first trip. [Incidentally, we'll need a double for the next trip in June...DS#3 due to arrive in just about a month bounce ].

Gotta say, I would never leave anything valuable in the stroller. In fact, I usually (unless I forget it at home) bring a retractable cable lock to thread through the wheels when we have to leave it 'alone'. Makes it impossible to fold and/or steer, but the cast members can still move it if they need to.

Nobody's stealing MY $500 stroller...unless they intend to drive it around on two wheels all day (or they're thoughtful enough to bring wire cutters---and now, to keep from having jinxed myself, I need to find a new lock with like a 1" diameter, kevlar-wrapped cable).

Seriously, though, I would say your stroller and gear is probably safe, but things do happen, even in the Happiest Place on Earth. Thankfully, most "stolen stroller" incidents are cases of mistaken identity (especially with the rental strollers which all look alike, but this applies to personal buggies as well---they only make so many different models in so many different colors, many people in the park on a given day are likely to have your exact same stroller), OR it's asshats who come out of a ride with a tired/cranky child, see a stroller handy, and swipe it to get to the park entrance. In fact, MOST of the stolen strollers are found abandoned at the bus stops and/or monorail station...

I had a small hip bag/fanny pack that I wore. Not fashion conscious, but oh-so-handy to have! I had a sunscreen stick, hand sanitizer, Chapstick, wipes, batteries for my cameras, sunshades, band-aids, tiny wallet with room key/money/park pass and rain poncho. Kept my hands free for stroller and didn't weigh me down on the move!

Our UK and Aussie friends (the latter especially) would have quote a laugh out loud at our rather vivid description of a 'waist pack/bag'...

Now, who wants a nice fanny pack? Heh heh...

Yeah, it's not about the food at the character meals, that's fer sure. WDW has some pretty good dining (or at least, used to before the dining plan kinda sorta farked everything up in terms of quality, portion size, and service), but the character soirees are NOT it...

Just sayin...

Oh, and I'm an Alice (as in Wonderland) guy myself, but I feel your DH's pain. Sometimes even Alice looks a little haggard and 'rode hard put away wet' (no comments from the peanut gallery---you know who you are), and it takes a lot for me to say that. I heart Alice!

We used backpacks at our last disney trip... worked great! Depending on the age of your kids, you can put small backpacks on them. I made my 9 yo wear one last trip.
Also, we piled a ton of junk under the strollers.

My bff saved the day! She loaned me her messager bag that crosses the body. She used it at Disney last year and said it was perfect for all the necessities without being too big to still wear while on the rides. Whee One problem solved, about a million more to go laugh out loud

I'm still figuring the stroller situation, but it seems that maybe our Maclaren Volo will fit the bill. it folds up tiny like an umbrella stroller and has a carrying strap for the buses. I'll be damed if I pay $17-$31 per day for a freakin' stroller Annoyed that goes against everything SD and my conscience stand for shake head
