This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Does anyone else see more and more kids being such disrespectful brats??
Let me tell you... I dealt with those kids for my job. I was the School Psychologist for three elementary schools in North Jersey. I worked with kids as young as 3 years old. So many of them are just out of control. I had to write behavior plan after behavior plan. Problem is, kids are so used to tangible rewards, immediate gratification and getting whatever they want, that it's hard to get them to be good for simple praise or stickers. What people have top learn is that behavior is LEARNED. Kids need boundaries. They need to know what is expected of them. So many times the parents would come in for a meeting and we'd say, "oh, now I see.." Terrible. I can't wait to go back to work in September Stick Out Tongue

I have been trying to keep up with 4 threads here lately, and I am doing a poor job of it. I feel busier than a one legged man in a butt kickin' contest but I'm not getting much accomplished. KWIM? So please forgive me for asking. And please forgive me if you are one legged. No harm intended. BUT....What are these new movie peelies located on? And are the new movie peelies the same thing as the "red" peelies?
I know...too many threads, too little time!! Teehee The peelies are on the "Return from/to Witch Mtn" and (I've heard) "Escape to Witch Mtn". And, yes, the red peelies are the new movie ones. Stick Out Tongue

Think Ponds / Mama Mia peelies... They are on the shiny special edition on Race to Witch Mountain and/or Return From Witch Mountain. They must be redeemed and converted to Fandango by 4/4/09! I wouldn't wait past 3/31 to do it though because it's the same company that did the Mama Mia peelies and I lost a buttload of my codes because they stopped working for a day or two before the deadline. Plus, when I used them to pay on Fandango, the numbers came up expired on the last day pretty early in the day. So, like I said, I will be redeeming and converting all of mine before the 31st!

Thanks ladies, there is a theater in downtown Oceanside that has online ordering. Smaller theater but heck it is free I will send DH & DD there! Plus these never expire now that they are converted, so I am good with it. What we don't use I can always trade. Roll

vomit I know. I drove by it intending to go in, decided instead to visit my DH at his work (DD wanted to see him and he's not too far from there) and then go there after visiting him. Drove past it to go home and did not stop. shake head I must really not like going in there!! (Especially when I saw the gazillion cars in the lot! OMG)

nod I work with college kids and do see a big difference between recent generations and this newer one. The kids seem to have this whole 'entitlement' attitude and if they don't get their way, then they act out (sometimes violently). Also, these kids seem to try to get as much as they can for as little effort as possible. Not all of the newer generation kids are like this, but I do see a vast majority of them are. It's kinda sad. This person you stumbled across really do seem to need some psychological help to straighten something out. The mom - who knows what the whole 'home life' is about - does need to stand a little stronger and try to rectify this child's behavior (counseling, asking for help, etc). It's very unfortunate that other 'beings' are pulled into this person's 'world' and suffering. Frown
Walmart is hell on the weekends...NOT worth it! I feel like I lose IQ points every time I go into that store...

Quote from Ms.T. :
Sounds like Munchausen by Proxy, only with animals. Then again, it's the internet, and so much of what you read may not even be true. She may not be 17, she may not be a she. It is the internet, after all.
That is what I was thinking of but did not realize if it was possible with animals. I do not believe a lot of what *she* says, but there have been newspaper articles and other documentations prove about the abuse of the animals.

Quote from love2beeamom :
I wondered the same thing with the ponds codes.. None of my theaters have the online option. I thought that meant they didn't use fandango at all? I was going to wait until vacation or something to use them..
I would love to find out different info from someone here..

Off topic, but I can't believe the nerve of some folks.. *snip*
Wow! I am so sorry that you have to deal with that Frown

Thanks ever so much ladies! Blowkiss Now, what product do you find these RTWM peelies on? I need more Fandango bucks like I need a hole in my head, but it's all in the thrill of the hunt. KWIM? Wink5

Thrifty, how is Meema? I had been telling her how beautiful it was here all during this past week. And yesterday the weather to a turn for the worst. UGH. I wanted her to get some sunshine!!!

Ok, just re-read. They are actually on a DVD in the store?

BTW, 102 subscribed threads here. Crazy I prune them every week but I am making an effort to try to keep up with this, the reg T thread, the BS thread and Safeway. That Safeway thread has been a monster lately. Bigeye

What a long day. Triples at Harris Teeter Whee I've spent the last hour fighting with the Handi Vac. New York Texas Toast garlic bread for .04...I'm a sucker for bread. Cheap cheese too. I think I almost burned the motor out so I stuck it to my arm to see if it was still working and it was EEK! All I could think of was Thrifty's daughter and her Handi Hickey LMAO

Bigeye Wow...unbelievable!! I can't believe the cashiers just took them all?!?
Bigeye Yeah that's crazy doing that chit. I can't believe they took them all either. I've only had a few cat scanners but I would think even they would notice that, esp all the same coupon, unreal.

I haven't been to T except maybe once or twice the whole month so at last minute I was trying to get at least a little meat stocked up.
I was bummed I couldn't find any super cheap S&D at T. I ask the meat guy if S&D made hamburger and he looked at me kinda weird and then said all T's meat is S&D. He said every brand of meat they get in comes out of boxes from S&D. He said the only reason there are different brand names is to give the customers a choice. He got his hand scanner and was showing me how even the cheapest hamburger not labeled S&D & most expensive Laura's, when scanned brought up the S&D brand name. So I ended up getting two of the ground chuck $2.99 and two packs of the steaks or beef rounds $3.49 and used 4 TQ's with no beeps.

Don't know if this has already been posted:

Yahoo! In Illinois there is a $10 off $100 electronics TQ on page 3 of the ad this week! Yahoo!!!! We NEVER get these!!! Roll

Also see my post in Deals for Splenda if you go that route - the little tablet things are just over $3, there are $3/2 MQs in todays SS plus the .55 TQ this week could make for some "sweet" lemonade this summer!

I know this isn't the WAGs thread, but I'm sharing with you guys anyway cause you're always so helpful to me!

Equal Sweetener at Wags is $2.50 for the 100 ct, use the Equal Packets, 100 ct.+ $2.50 (4-4-09) SS #2 1/4/09 to get them for FREE.

Also found these "booklets" yesterday at Dominicks (Safeway) - "Deliciously Homemade Desserts" with a yummy looking pudding/fruit parfait on the cover. On the last page there is a $1.25/3 participating Kraft dessert products, although there is no list, it does show Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Cool Whip, Nilla Wafers and Jell-O in the picture. Jell-O is 2/$1 at Wags this week so .25 for 3 boxes at Wags with these coupons if you can find them!
