Here's how to qualify for your bonus:
  • Open an Everyday Checking account online (from this webpage only) by July 26, 2019.
  • Make a minimum opening deposit of $25 to fund your account.
  • Set up direct deposit and receive a cumulative monthly total of $3,000 in qualifying direct deposits into your new account for 3 consecutive months.
Your $400 bonus will be deposited into your new Everyday Checking account within 45 days after eligibility and bonus requirements have been met.
This is an exclusive, online-only offer and not valid for branch or phone account opens. See below for additional details and important information.

Our Everyday Checking account comes with innovative features:
  • Secure online access to your accounts. Use the Wells Fargo Mobile® app and simplify the way you bank.2
  • Account alerts. Stay on top of your account activity with alerts that allow you to track your account balances, debit card transactions, and more.3
  • Overdraft Rewind®. Sign up for direct deposit to take advantage of Overdraft Rewind. When an ACH direct deposit is received by 9:00 am, the bank will automatically reevaluate transactions from the previous day and, if your direct deposit covers them, may reverse overdraft or returned item (Non-Sufficient Funds/NSF) decisions and waive associated fees.4

* How to qualify for the $400 checking bonus:
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Everyday Checking is the only eligible account for the $400 bonus when opened online. If you do not qualify for Everyday Checking but do qualify for Opportunity Checking®, this offer can still be applied to the Opportunity Checking account.
  • This offer is intended for new checking customers only. You are not eligible for this offer if:
    • You are a current owner of a Wells Fargo consumer checking account
    • You are a Wells Fargo team member
    • You have received a bonus for opening a Wells Fargo consumer checking account within the past 12 months
Bonus Requirements:

$400 bonus
  • Open a new Everyday Checking account online with a minimum opening deposit of $25 by July 26, 2019. All account applications are subject to approval.
  • Within 150 days of your account open date, receive a cumulative monthly total of $3,000 in qualifying direct deposits to the checking account opened for this bonus offer for three consecutive months. During this time, your new account balance must be $1 or more.
    • A qualifying direct deposit is the customer's salary, pension, Social Security, or other regular monthly income electronically deposited through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network to this checking account by your employer or an outside agency.
    • Non-qualifying direct deposits for purposes of this offer include transfers from one account to another (for example, transfers between your own accounts, or person-to-person transfers using a transfer service such as Zelle®), or deposits made at a branch or ATM, or through mobile deposit.
Bonus Payment:

  • We will deposit the bonus into your new checking account within 45 days after meeting all offer requirements.
  • The new checking account must remain open in order to receive any earned bonus payments.
  • You are responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes due on the bonus, and we will report as income to the tax authorities if required by applicable law. Consult your tax advisor.
Additional Important Information:

  • Offer expires July 26, 2019.
  • Offer subject to change and may be discontinued at any time without notice.
  • Offer cannot be:
    • Paid without a valid U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number (W-9)
    • Combined with any other consumer deposit offer (limit one bonus per customer/account)
    • Reproduced, purchased, sold, transferred, or traded

1.The Wells Fargo Everyday Checking account monthly service fee is $10. Minimum opening deposit is $25.
The monthly service fee can be avoided with any one of the following each fee period:
  • Maintain a $1,500 minimum daily balance
  • $500 or more in total qualifying direct deposits
    • A qualifying direct deposit is a direct deposit of your salary, pension, Social Security, or other regular monthly income, electronically deposited through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network to this checking account by your employer or an outside agency.
    • Non-qualifying direct deposits include transfers from one account to another, or deposits made at a branch or ATM, or through mobile deposit.
  • 10 or more posted debit card transactions (any combination of posted debit card purchases or posted debit card payments of bills) from this checking account each fee period.

    Included:
    • Debit card purchases include PIN, signature, online, phone, and mobile wallet.
    • Debit card payments include one-time and recurring. Examples: utility bill/gym membership.
    Not included
    • Any transaction at an ATM (Wells Fargo or non-Wells Fargo).
    • Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. ACH transactions are set up using your checking account number and routing number — NOT a debit card number.
  • A linked Wells Fargo Campus ATM or Campus Debit Card.
  • The primary account owner is 17 – 24 years old. (On the primary account owner's 25th birthday, the account is automatically subject to the monthly service fee unless you meet one of the other options to avoid the monthly service fee.)
2.Availability may be affected by your mobile carrier's coverage area. Your mobile carrier's message and data rates may apply.

3.Sign-up may be required. Availability may be affected by your mobile carrier's coverage area. Your mobile carrier's message and data rates may apply.
4.The bank will reevaluate transactions from the previous business day that resulted in an overdraft or returned item if we receive an electronic direct deposit to your account by 9:00 am local time where your account is located (which is noted on your monthly statement). The bank will calculate a new available balance, including your pending electronic direct deposit (less any pending debits), and may reverse the overdraft or returned item (Non-Sufficient Funds/NSF) decisions and resulting fees from the previous business day if your electronic direct deposit will cover them. The bank receives most direct deposits through the ACH network before 9:00 am. Overdraft protection transfers/advances and fees from the prior business day are not reversed with Overdraft Rewind. Other deposits, such as check(s), cash, or account transfers received after our initial nightly account processing are not included in Overdraft Rewind. Direct deposits include your salary, pension, Social Security, or other regular monthly income electronically deposited through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network by your employer or an outside agency. Yeah. Right now its the slow season. I make slightly less than that each month in DD.

Really? That is not how I read it, but if that is true, then that would be easy for me. If its 3k each month for 3 months, then I have a problem. The wording says "for consecutive months". I would think that would mean you have to qualify x 3.

Yeah its 3k per month

Sounds like a great deal, I signed up with them a year or 2 ago for a sign on bonus and never had any issues, I would Zelle my paycheck to my current bank, us bank , every paycheck and so I never actually used a debit card or the account itself for payments to others. The transaction history was literally a paycheck would go in, and Id zelle it out.. and it was instantly in my us bank account, about 1 second literally... It'd be there as soon as I hit send... I'm currently on month 3 of 3 of a bank of America $300 sign on bonus with 4k deposit requirement, so as soon as I get the $300 I'll switch back to wells since we have until July to do this offer..
I have also done the chase $300 offer (at least 3 times in my life after waiting for the 12 month cooldown period) and key bank offer as well.. so I make about $600-700 a year on sign on bonus' rotating these offers, it's ridiculously easy to switch at my workplace as they have an online portal and all I do is update the routing and acct numbers... I'm going to call wells and ask when was it that I closed that account to make sure I'm out of the 12 month period...ty OP

This is exactly how I operate! Applause I'm going to milk this gravy train as long as I can. I forgot which bank finally put in a 1 bonus ever clause... That was upsetting.

Just need a little clarification. Does it need $3000 per month for 3 months straight or is it $3000 total across 3 months?

$3k seems pretty high. I would imagine the lower income people might have a problem meeting that limit.
That's the point.

(And yes, it excludes me, too. I don't make enough to meet the deposit requirements).

This is a decent deal but its a long time frame. 3 Months of DD and then payment within another 45 days.

roughly 4-5 months for the entire offer to be complete.

There are many bank deals that can be completed in 1-3 months time frame, although it may not be as much $$.

Great deal. Already asking HR to make sure I can switch and then switch back easily enough. First will complete it for myself, and then for my wife in a few months.

Easy $800.

Thank you OP.

Who cares about the time frame....do the direct deposits and then move the money out...what's the big deal?

True its a little longer. But at least you dont have to lock up $20k+ into it. Most bank bonuses for $200+ require at least $20k locked up. You can DD into it and then take it back out as long as you have at least a buck left in it.

Debating on doing this, but I don't like the fact that I have to direct $1500 of one of my paychecks into this account.

Also, the last time I did this for the $250, I didn't get a 1099-INT from them. When I asked them about it, they said that I didn't have one. Is it a new thing where these bonuses are not reported?
Quote from haserfauld :
Bonuses under $600 are never reported, AFAIK

I've gotten the 1099 from capital one 360 and Ally Bank before for less than $600. Probably Chase as well. AFAIK any direct cash bonuses are reportable.

Why is it always a "Screw up", or "Mistake" when a big corporation gets CAUGHT?

You are right about the corrupt Gubment though, everybody in Congress is paid for by the Banking, Pharma and Big AG Cartels.

Wells is worthless. I have 2 rotating lines of credit with them, one with a balance of $1000, the other with a balance of $5000... I made a payment of $1300, and they applied it to the $5000 amount and are charging interest on the $1000 that should have been paid off.

Oh well, they won't get the 71% interest from my Mortgage, as I'm doing a Refi with the much better Navy Fed.

Just remember, there is no such thing as a Billionaire banker that got to that status ethically unless they inherited it all.

Warren Buffett is a Thief, as is obvious with all the fees Wells Fargo charges. $2 just to check the balance of a Wells acct. from Bob's ATM... That's just for starters.

For people that say Buffett doesn't own Wells, his Berkshire Hathaway is the #1 shareholder, and you can bet you ass he knows and approves of everything that goes on there.
