This is a FYI for people who are interested in a CHEAP ($20 per month)Unlimited Plan through AT&T. The UConnect plan via the ZTE Mobley is back for a limited time. Currently, AT&T is sold out of the device (and its not certain if they will getting them back in stock). but you can still get the plan if you can come up with the ZTE Mobley device. You can still find a handful of the devices on eBay currently. The cool thing about the device is that people have figured out how to create adapters so the device can run off a wall outlet.

Per the wonderful website, RVmobileinternet.com you need to call a special ATT number to get the deal as it a special promotion. Below are the two numbers they listed on the website:

Primary Phone Number: 855-894-9945

Secondary Phone Number: 866-662-4548

HERE ARE LINKS TO THE RVMOBILEINTERNET SITE WHERE THEY DISCUSS WHAT THE MOBLEY IS AND HOW TO GET THIS DEAL:

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/...-of-stock/

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/...-campaign/

You can read about the device on several active forums too. Howard Forums is probably one of the best!

Anyone create a bot to generate Mobley IMEIs yet like they did to create the iPad accounts?

The number generating is most likely against ATT's terms of service (or worse).

Not worth the risk to me. I took the plunge, bought the Mobley, did it the legitimate way, and it still is an AMAZING deal since I have decent ATT signal in my area for the service I will get!

I can get 20mbps at my location with the Mobley itself. And this location is on the very edge of the signal strength map for the nearby ATT towers.

im using mine in nighthawk hotspot and im averaging 80mb +. highest i seen 120mb dl
I wonder if you could connect two of these Nighthawk hotspots to one of those routers with dual WAN capabilities for a big boost in speed?

Another thought... Do any of you use an antenna with your Nighthawks or Unite Explore? Directional or omni-directional? How big of a change did you see?

You can do it yourself man its super easy, you dont need a "bot".

Dont listen to people that have sour grapes about spending $300+ on a damn mobely.

$50 after calling in to att rep. Which is ymmy. I saw someone did it on Reddit with 2yrs contract. Thought I give it a shot and rep couldn't do contract on my account for some reason, I then joked about $50 without contract and rep did it for me
When did you do this - recently ? TIA.

ATT's price on a Mobley was $150 while they had them. And new Mobleys can still be found currently for less than $300. I'd rather NOT do something shady like create fake numbers to set up an account so I went ahead and bought the ZTE Mobley and did things the legitimate way. I don't want to risk any future surprises like account cancellation or worse... It's still a SUPER deal for $20 Unlimited Fast LTE internet!

You're not risking anything, like ive said, this has been done since 2017. You're hardly the first person to post about the mobely.

So the argument "Muh big bad ATT is gonna get me" isnt valid.

While there may be people getting away with this, I believe ipads and hotspots are in different device categories and this is against ATT's terms of service. Too risky for my blood; wouldnt want to get a bill for prior services... Im going with the brand new ZTE Mobleyto be safer. Plus the plan is $10 cheaper per month.

No one in the history of this stuff has ever gotten a bill for prior services. They just (at worst) have their account shut down.

I have a Velocity also, but it drops out a lot when I have 10 clients running videos (beermoney). My unite does the same. Max of 10 clients is an issue with these.
No one should be running lots of clients on these integrated routers in the hotspots.

You should attach them to a high quality router, either via USB tethering, or via wireless repeat.

That's the setup I use and it works great with no issue with number of users.

The Netgear Nighthawk M1 is better...but even there you're better off connecting to a full service router via the Ethernet out.

That potential outcome is enough to make me want to do it the legitimate way. If they cancelled the account, not only would I be out of my high-speed internet service but also would lose money on the equipment too...

I'm glad I went the legitimate way and purchased the ZTE Mobley new and outright....

Unless you plan to keep the SIM in the Mobley, they can still cancel your account. Take it out even once and you're at risk of getting canceled...If that keeps you up at night, then you have to keep the SIM in the Mobley 100% of the time.

What's the best place to get one of those Netgear Nighthawks?

My sim is being shipped and I would like to go directly to the Netgear.

Which router do you tether to? Are you using the velocity for the modem?
