It’s back!!! AT&T Connected Car Unlimited Data Plan with ZTE Mobley - $20 per Month!

This is a FYI for people who are interested in a CHEAP ($20 per month)Unlimited Plan through AT&T. The UConnect plan via the ZTE Mobley is back for a limited time. Currently, AT&T is sold out of the device (and its not certain if they will getting them back in stock). but you can still get the plan if you can come up with the ZTE Mobley device. You can still find a handful of the devices on eBay currently. The cool thing about the device is that people have figured out how to create adapters so the device can run off a wall outlet.

Per the wonderful website, RVmobileinternet.com you need to call a special ATT number to get the deal as it a special promotion. Below are the two numbers they listed on the website:

Primary Phone Number: 855-894-9945

Secondary Phone Number: 866-662-4548

HERE ARE LINKS TO THE RVMOBILEINTERNET SITE WHERE THEY DISCUSS WHAT THE MOBLEY IS AND HOW TO GET THIS DEAL:

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/...-of-stock/

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/...-campaign/

You can read about the device on several active forums too. Howard Forums is probably one of the best!

If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Still alive as of 4/15/2019. Added second line without issue on first call to the first number.

Success! The following process works very smoothly as of April 2:

Call this special promotion ATT number: 855-894-9945

If you already have the ZTE Mobley, have it ready and be prepared to provide the IMEI number to the phone representative. (If you don't have one yet, they can still be found NEW online on eBay, etc.)

When you call tell the representative that you want the UConnect plan for $20 per month (it's a Chrysler/Mopar promotional plan) and that you already have a Mobley.

Some users have reported that the AT&T phone representatives had a hard time finding the Uconnect plan in their computer system. If this happens to you, make sure the phone rep is searching for the "UConnect" plan. You can also mention that it is a Chrysler/Mopar promotion. If they still have trouble, hang up and call the same phone number again to get a different representative.

Once the phone tepesenative has found the UConnect plan in their syystem, they ask you for the IMEI of your new Mobley and get you set up with an ATT account and then they will send out the SIM card.

Once you receive the SIM card, you will have to call back to ATT to activate it (one user reported calling 866-895-1099 and said the system was all automated.). They will ask for the phone number associated with your Mobley (even though it it is a hotspot, AT&T still gives it a phone number... Not sure why?) and they ask for your SSN or your pin code.

Congratulations! You now have FAST Unlimited data from AT&T for $20 per month!

Have 2 lines since this deal came out years ago and speeds have really gone downhill. I travel a lot and doesn't matter where I'm at. Usually less the 5Mbps download. However, once I start streaming, it takes a few minutes and locks into HD screen and I'm good for hours on end. Even under 3Mbps. I'm using Directv Stream, several video apps including MLB.TV and a few IPTV services. I was surprised how good the streaming has become even with the terrible speeds.

Was about to ditch the lines when Covid began but mostly forgot about them. Just did a 2 plus week road trip and really enjoyed the "cable experience" using these hotspots. Probably won't last though. AT&T coverage is excellent on the road, even if the speeds are slow.

Has anyone tried a 5G device with this plan? I'm still running a Velocity 2 (much more reliable and faster with better band coverage than the Velocity) which is adequate, but would like more speed. I'm a bit reluctant to change devices or even move away from ZTE, as much as I'd love to, based on reports above that they've been shut down after changing. I had to call to change to the nano SIM that the Velocity 2 uses, and the rep assured me that the device is okay on the AT&T network, so maybe just avoiding any devices that AT&T doesn't like in general will keep things running.

I thought this was a 4G only plan and 5G wasn't possible? Could be wrong of course. I'm still using a ZTE Velocity (1?) and it's been acceptable lately. Just came back from a month on the road and would get a few network congestion messages with Directv Stream, but most of the time it was nice HD picture. Shocking, as the speeds were terrible. 3Mbps down was common.

Lot's of complaints about the plan it appears. Definitely not as good as it used to be in the beginning. I'm not a heavy data user either, though a few months a year I'm 200GB+. Normally under 50GB.

Any other good "unlimited" options out there?

I would not recommend attempting a 5G device… good way to get your account flagged and service shut off.

Thanks! I noticed that deal when it first came out, but since I wasn't looking for anything, I didn't really pay attention. Can't believe it's still going as it's been around quite some time! So is it like this Mobley deal, where you put the SIM into a hotspot device? I'm on the road often now, so stream with my Nvidia box for TV instead of using hotel offerings. Also use my laptop of course.

I'll check the Tmobile plan out! If anything, it could replace one of my ATT Mobley plans. I've been paying for 2 lines since the plan started thinking I'd divide the data between the two devices to not raise red data flags, but that doesn't seem necessary any more. (Probably never was)

Tmobile plan is cheaper than at&t.
If you put tmo sim card to hotspot, it'll count as hotspot which come with 10gb...but someone figured out how to hack to some devices for it to count as regular data.
There are some devices can be used plug and play too but cost more.
The only thing about Tmobile plan is it's via business account, some had hard time but I didn't.
You can read all the useful info there....Best luck

Yes a lot to digest in that thread ha! I have a legit EIN so could easily do a business account. I'll see what the best device is for traveling with the T-Mobile plan. For $10/month and it can't be worse than the Mobley plan, it's a no brainer. Thanks again!

I need a new hotspot as mine is on the way out. I have a ZTE Velocity 2 and will replace with the same.

Will I be able to do this? or will it flag my account when I call with the new MEID of the new hotspot

Why don't you just get the tmobile $10/month one and not worry about which device you use?
