maybe get a squaretrade warranty then

EDIT: From past threads looks like Breville will honor the warranty purchased from asavings via Ebay

How does square trade work? It says there is 1yr manufacture warranty. Does square trade kick in after the manufacture warranty runs out?

Squaretrade has been good with me for other products (IE electronics). The issue is that sometimes they will make you source a local source to fix it first so then you are at the quality of their work but if there are no people to fix it near you, you have to send it in, not sure how you would even package that up but sounds like a hassle. But otherwise, I would go for it with a Squaretrade warranty.
