The SLC cache on this drive ranges from 140 GB when empty to 12 GB when the drive is full (on the 1 TB model). So if you're going to fill the drive most of the way up and then regularly transfer more than 12 GB at a time to it at full speed when it's nearly full, it will slow down significantly.

Who actually does that? In the vast majority of real-world use cases, this will perform indistinguishably from any other SSD in terms of user experience. Certainly it's capable of much better actual performance than any SATA SSD, and it's priced the same.
100% vouch that for this price, it doesn't really matter that it's one of the slower NVMEs. It's still 2-3x faster than a 1TB Samsung Evo 860 if you are just shopping for a baseline OS drive without caring about what form it takes.
Providing you are not over 70% capacity this drive is fast. If you like to fill up a 1TB drive then then 2TB model is a better choice. But no SSD likes to be full.

i still see $117.34, 25% off is $29.33 off.
Edit... you are correct, the other seller isn't the right one. it comes up as $125.

seems the 1tb model was from a blocked merchant. the code can be applied to the $124 model and should come out to $95.

Says the code is for 'first-time shoppers only'. You might want to include in that in your description, OP. I guess I'll have to make (yet another) new account. I just hope they don't eventually ban my other account I've had since the mid 2000s after doing this so many times.

....the code is literally NEWAPP25, keyword being NEW. Also, almost (if not all) all of these Google Express codes are for new users.

You should put 660P model number in description. I think SX8200 Pro @$72.24 is a better deal if you want to cover yourself for more potential use cases, but this drive is really sufficient for most people 99% of the time. Boot times will be solid, drive should be generally snappy for loading programs and transferring normal sized files, and Intel reliability is pretty good. For $57, one really can't complain.

(If you want the best, are on a tight budget, and are not in a rush, you can wait and prices on these drives will fall even further. Memory and DRAM pricing is in a free fall right now. Pity CPUs aren't following due to supposed higher demand than supply, or desktop prices would fall 30%+.)

True, as to your second point. As for the code itself, as ambiguous as it is could easily be mistaken for implying it were applicable to new users of the app itself, not solely relegated to new users of the service in its entirety.
