If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

Is this deal applicable for Reserve too? How do you guys spend 4K in 3 months if you aren't planning to travel?
i spend 4k in 3 months all the time, buying normal groceries, gas, maintenance or repair on my house and cars, insurance, gym memberships, eating out 1x a week. i dont have to buy crap to hit spending 4k every 3 months--and i strongly suggest you dont either.

it helps that i live in the northeast where everything costs a lot more than the midwest or south

I have a CSR. Wife is not an authorized user. Assuming my wife hasn't receive a bonus from a Sapphire card in the last 48 months, she can sign up for this and then transfer the points to my CSR and realize a $900 value (minus the annual fee) from this, right?

When can we confirm if we are qualified for the bonus? Before spending the $4k?

I have the CSP and I have to say I regret getting it. I'm a Delta guy and a Marriott guy and neither of those have any real advantages. Now, I knew that going in, so that's not a highly valid complaint.

The popular travel sites will try to sell you on how great it is to convert Hyatt points, but I have to say that most of Hyatt's good properties (Park Hyatt, Andaz) seem to be blacked out at all times, so I've had a hard time using my points there, too. They'll also try to sell you on things like business class to some Asian country for fewer points than you think. If your life has you flying to Singapore for leisure, then you might feel good with this one.

I'd say I eat out more than most, and I travel a fair bit, but that's just not enough to get the leverage out of the $95 annual fee that I need. I also have a Chase Freedom card, and that gives me extra value with this card, but honestly I felt I was doing better with my AMEX Blue Cash Preferred, Barclays Arrival Card, and Chase Freedom.

Adding this card in has been pretty much just a hassle. However, still worth the money if all you're doing is chasing bonuses.

Yes, but it would be more valuable to do a modified double dip and have her get both CSP/CSR (assuming shes under 5/24).

Chase offers are pretty much trash now a days, with all their new rules. I dont bother. There are other options from other banks. I dont use chase card for my day to day use anymore as well..

Chase points are pretty much the single most valuable, which is why people prioritize their SUBs when under 5/24.
MR points are good, but the lifetime limits and popups can be a hindrance as well.

Also worth checking if you have any selected for you offers for 70k points, AF not waived.

Does anyone know how to get personal cards to show for "selected for you offers?" I currently have a couple Ink cards, so it's only showing me other business cards.

Can someone explain the chase reserve 300 credit back for travel? Please explain it. How does that work? The annual fee of 450 is quiet high.
Whenever you spend any money on something Chase deems as a "Travel category" spending you immediately get credited back. If you Purchase a $400 plane ticket, after that charge leaves pending status you will get credited back 300 right away and left with only -100. You also get credit back towards Uber, Hotels etc if you don't have any flights coming up.

Chase's travel category is quite inclusive:
"Merchants in the travel category include airlines, hotels, motels, timeshares, campgrounds, car rental agencies, cruise lines, travel agencies, discount travel sites, and operators of passenger trains, buses, taxis, limousines, ferries, toll bridges and highways, and parking lots and garages."

Basically if you haven't gone on any big flights, even take public transit/taxes enough times a year, it's easy to get the $300 credit.

Where did you see that this is once in a life time language?
