If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

I currently have Sapphire Reserve but did not get 50K bonus points (didn't spend 4k in 3 mos). If I cancel the reserve and get preferred would I be eligible to get 60K points offer?

You technically have up to 115 days. How long has it been? You can send a a secure message through the online portal to check how many days you have to meet the minimum spend.

Email at 04/04/19. And no more activities. Hard inquiry on credit score.

We have received your request for a Chase credit card. We'll let you know our decision as soon as possible.
Thank you for choosing Chase.

Don't worry. I was on the same boat so I initially thought that it would be rejected. But, to my surprise, I got the card.

Is closing cards reflects badly on your credit line? I would want to keep this card but I am too frugal for 95 AF. Frown Is it worth keeping it? I have my old card that I shouldn't close cuz its like form 2000s and then there is amazon card. Having too many cards is kinda PITA. Do you guiy close cards after using this thing and earning points?

Closing cards doesn't hurt your score unless....
It's a really old card so your average opened account goes down (closing a relatively new card may help)
If your overall credit card balance is is over 20% of your limit (Example if you have 5 cards with $2,000 limit each {$10,000 total} with a rolling balance of $1,900, you would be over the 20% if you closed one.

I hope that makes sense

EDIT: Also you can keep this card and near the one year renewal mark, you can call and make it a normal Chase Sapphire card, which doesn't have any yearly fees.

I have a CSP card but I got the sign-up bonus 4 years ago. Can I downgrade the CSP to a Freedom card and then apply for the CSR in order to get the 50k sign-up bonus?

Yes, you can do that, as long as it's been at least 48 months from the time you got the bonus on your CSP. You also could downgrade you're current CSP and then apply for a new CSP and be eligible for the bonus again.

I would give a little grace period on that 48 months just to be safe, say maybe 49 months.

Wait really you can do that? How about canceling and apply again? For example, I got my freedom a long time ago, can I cancel that card and reapply to get the bonus?

It doesn't matter what you spend the $4,000 on to trigger the bonus.

I went with the reserve 4 months ago and have easily made back the 450.

- $300 Annual travel expense. This includes any flights, car rental, uber/lyft etc..
- Free Priority Pass. I've used it 5 times already at restaurants for ~$25 each time
- $100 credit (every 4 years) for Global Entry
- 3% cashback on Restaurants + Travel (after $300)
- Points with travel are 1.5 cents, you can get special transfer bonuses as well, making the average around 2 cents.

What did you mean by "Free priority pass for restaurants"? And does the 1.5 sometimes 2.0 apply to this card as well? Thanks for your help!
