If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull
Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

I just applied for my first CSR card. My husband has a CIP, CSP, and CFU, and a Chase checking account.
Right after I applied for the CSR, I got an email saying they will let me know their decision ASAP. I read along time ago that if your spouse has chase cards, there's a way that it could help speed the process of getting a brand new chase account (in my case, CSR).
I got the sapphire reserve several years ago and cancelled 2-3 years ago. Does the reserve count as part of the 48 month restriction?
Yes. The Reserve was launched in September 2016. If you got the card at launch and received the signup bonus immediately the following month, you are not eligible to be approved for another Sapphire card until at least October 2020.
I had an CSP earlier, and then moved to CSR. Here are the few reasons
1. The yearly cost difference between 2 cards is $49 (because you get $300 credit every year for travel related expenses on reserve)
2. If you travel a lot then you can use the priority lounge access
3. TSA pre check is reimbursed
4. Rental car insurance is primary, so you don't need any additional rental insurance
5. When you redeem the points through chase portal it will be 1:1.5 (75000: $1,125)
6. Points are 3x when compared to 2x on preferred
Debating the reserve or amex platinum as I will travel twice a month to client place and hotel stay. Amex also gives you gold status for Marriott and Hilton. Just took up this new job and travel is new to me. Any suggestions? And I have to book air and hotel and then get it reimburse. TIA

No reason not to get both-especially if you'll have some nice work-reimbursed spend to cover the signup spend requirements.
Both cards are easily profitable over their annual fees in the first year of membership.
The Amex Hilton Aspire might also be worth you looking at- again easily profitable in year one... and potentially profitable year over year if you can use the $250 Hilton resort credit annually... and it gives you diamond status with Hilton instead of Gold.... (which you can often match to Wyndham and then Ceasars)
That said, long term, unless you will be hitting airports with centurion lounges pretty often (and there's less than a dozen in the entire US) I don't find the Platinum to be worth keeping year-over-year, while I do find the CSR (and Hilton Aspire if you can get full value on the resort credit) worth keeping long term.
Another decent one is the IHG chase card since you get Platinum status and a free night every year for the AF.
All that said- be aware of 5/24- if your work is going to generate a healthy amount of monthly spend you might be better off racking up all the chase signups you can before going over 5 cards....signups will always beat the hell out of "regular spend" earnings even in bonus categories so doing as many signups as you can afford spend-wise is max value typically.
If I downgraded to the fee free sapphire from my CSR 2-3ish years ago will that disqualify me. Should I do a credit limit transfer to my freedom from that card

Anyone have any insight?

CSR = Yes (Priority Pass)
Used my free Priority Pass at MAN on Sunday morning.
You're disqualified until its been 4 years since you got your CSR bonus no matter what you do.
