If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull
Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

Anyone know if Paypal or Venmo payments count towards the $4000 spending? Easy way would be to Venmo someone I know $4000,a dn then just have them write me a check for the amount back. You pay about $120 in fees to do it, but it's an easy way to cover the $4k sign up requirement.
Other option is $500 visa debit cards from grocery stores? Much smaller fee if it's allowed by Chase.
Which one is a better deal? 70k CSP or current 50k CSR? Anyone know if the CSR had any better promo since the original 100K? I think as a card, CSR makes more sense for me. So maybe I should go for the 70k CSP promo and do a change to CSR after a year? Any expert can direct me to the better deal? Thanks

That's all accurate.... CSR has stayed at 50k since the 100k deal ended a couple years ago....and for exactly the reason you mention, it's a much better card.
Your plan is fine if you won't need any of the additional features or benefits of the CSR in the next year

I just applied but after submission I got told they need more time to review. Do most applicants get auto-approved? I haven't had a credit card for a few months; just using debit.

All counts as spend, but chase may see it as manufactured spend and blacklist you from their products in the future

Call their recon number sometimes it's just to verify info

If I have flight point with delta and American can I combine these points together from either airlines ?
Nope, neither is a partner with Chase.
You can book flights on both with chase points 2 different ways-
Either partner airline bookings (for example Chase transfers to Avios, which can be used to book AA flights) or via the Chase travel portal (where you will get 1.25c per point with a CSP, or 1.5 cents per point with a CSR).
T&C specifically says "This product is available to you if you do not have any Sapphire card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for any Sapphire card in the past 48 months."
Where did you see that this is once in a life time language?
Edit: Guys, Hondaman had since updated his post and removed his comment about this being a once in a lifetime offer.
I have a Sapphire Platinum, received my bonus more than 48m ago and called Chase, asking if I terminated my card and sign up in a couple months, can I benefit the sign up offer. The CSR from Chase said no, the Sapphire offer is only once in a lifetime offer. Can anyone confirm this?
