If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

Wife had this card approved 3/23/16, earned bonus...

First monthly statement of $4,000+ was due and paid on 5/14/16 so bonus probably posted late April 2016???

Closed acct 5/12/17

Quick question: With acct closed, how can I see exactly when the bonus points posted?

Or do I need to? 48 months would seem to be late April 2020...Any way to confirm when she will be eligible ???

Thanks for any help!
Most likely, that is correct. Assuming that the 1st due date was 5/14/16 and that the entire $4k MSR was accounted for on it, that would put the statement generation date ~ 4/17/16, with the bonus likely posting a couple of days later.

I have the CSR that I received back in September of 2016 (got the bonus in October of 2016). Just heard about the new $550 annual fee:

Can I PC the CSR to a freedom in the next few months, wait till October of 2020 and apply for the CSP to get the signup bonus?
Yes, you can do that.

I'm looking to get a new travel credit card. Though I'm not a frequent traveler, I do plan one or two vacations with my family each year. I was debating between the CSR and CSP, but I think the increase in fees for the CSR makes my decision a little easier.

Any thoughts on which card is better between the CSP and the Capital One Venture card (or any other comparable card that might be better)?

CSR just increased its annual fee to $550 because it decided to include some lame Lyft Pink and Doordash. Thinking about cancelling mine.

My annual fee for CSR hits in a few days. Next year, I'll be downgrading to CSP for sure.

Doordash and Lyft are weak additions.

Product changes are not eligible for bonus offers.

Bonus offer is for new applications with no current Sapphire card and no previous Sapphire bonus within the past 48 months.
