If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

As long as your last Sapphire (regardless of Preferred or Reserved) last sign up bonus was over 48 months ago. Note that they count points deposited, and not approved date. So it's safe to add 3 months to your last sapphire app to really be sure you are in the clear.

Is there anyway to check when I signed up?

Also if I currently have a sapphire, can I cancel it or change to another card and then immediately apply?

Edit: chase isn't accepting calls right now except for 'emergencies'

Sign up for credit karma- you can see when you opened any given card

And you can product change your sapphire into something else via secure message (or at least used to be able to- haven't tried recently) if you can't reach them by phone.

I have since looked up my statements and saw when I started. I'm eligible but I can't call to cancel my card.I'll try contacting them through the secure chat, great idea!

I paid my rent with it & the property company used a 3rd party to process my payment. Also they did not charge me any additional fees for using a credit card payment.
I was wondering if this will be applied towards my $4k spending minimum?

The 48 month period is not from when you "started", it's from when you received your last bonus. So, to be safe, add 4 months to when you "started".

I can't get through to a live agent at Chase. Anyone have actual experience with the following?

I have a Preferred card and did receive a bonus points offer in the past (probably within 4 years look back). I am the account holder, however, I added my wife and kids as cardholders on my account. Can my wife apply and get the bonus points offer or does Chase consider her a current cardholder albeit on my account? thanks in advance.

People who are/were Authorized Users are not barred from getting their own card and bonus by any of the Chase restrictive rules, assuming they are otherwise eligible (5/24, their own credit rating...).

I currently have the Sapphire Reserve. After the 48 months pass (from bonus posting, so really like 50 months), can I close and re-open a Sapphire Reserve to get the new bonus? Or do I need to switch to the Preferred?

You are qualified for either card with bonus, it is up to you which card is right for you at the moment. If you cancel your acct, it is best to wait at least 30 days or 1 billing cycle before apply for same card.

Didn't the cool-off period to qualify for another signing bonus used to be 24 months? When was it changed to 48 months?

Argh! I had the Preferred in early 2018, knew I needed to wait 24 months, waited until May of 2020 to apply for the Reserve, and got declined. Letter says I've received a bonus within 48 months. Insert made face. I'm running out of United and American mileage options...

Thanks for the answer.
