If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.

Ah... so no, you're not aware that different points have different values.
IHG points are valued roughly 0.5 cents each... (in fact, IHG often will sell them for that price which means realistically they're often worth even less)
Chase points more like 1.5-2 cents each for most (more more if used for certain travel)
So 60,000 chase points can be a lot more valuable than 125k IHG points.
Anytime you want to trade me 60k chase points though I'll be happy to buy you 125k IHG points in exchange. As many times as you want.
Also- pro math tip- $3000 spend is not "less than half" of $4000 spend.
Because people keep bumping thread to either:

Well, a bit of effort, and not living in the US since we're not allowed to travel to any of the places that make them worth that much these days... recently roundtrip biz to Europe has been as cheap as 34k points, cheaper than it's been in a LONG LONG time...they just won't actually let you in when you get there...
