If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

This doesn't seem like a lot of points for $4,000 spend? There are offers of 100K+ points for spending less than half this amount.

Really?

Where can I get 100k+ chase points for less than $2000 spend?

(you do realize some points are worth a ton less than others...right?)

Ah... so no, you're not aware that different points have different values.

IHG points are valued roughly 0.5 cents each... (in fact, IHG often will sell them for that price which means realistically they're often worth even less)

Chase points more like 1.5-2 cents each for most (more more if used for certain travel)

So 60,000 chase points can be a lot more valuable than 125k IHG points.

Anytime you want to trade me 60k chase points though I'll be happy to buy you 125k IHG points in exchange. As many times as you want.

Also- pro math tip- $3000 spend is not "less than half" of $4000 spend.

Took over a month to get this card. Terrible customer service so far. My Amex Plat took 3 days from application to card in hand. In for the points then out next year.

Because people keep bumping thread to either:

1) Repeat questions already answered 50 times in the thread, but reading is like work.

1a) To comment on a different credit card they think this thread is about because they didn't bother to read past the words "Chase Sapphire" in the title, because reading is like work.

or

2) To complain about the thread constantly being bumped.

Yea...those were the days. When a point was a point was a point. Alas, no more.

But it's not all bad. For those willing to put in a bit effort, a point could be 2,3,5+ points.

Well, a bit of effort, and not living in the US since we're not allowed to travel to any of the places that make them worth that much these days... recently roundtrip biz to Europe has been as cheap as 34k points, cheaper than it's been in a LONG LONG time...they just won't actually let you in when you get there... vomit

IHG points are not worth the same value as UR points and cannot be transferred to UR points. LMAOLMAOLMAO

I wasn't suggesting that you try for that card, I was asking if you had it in the past. That could have been the reason you were denied for Sapphire Preferred.
