Update: The premium plan is now $45 before autopay discount, but no longer includes Uber credits. For those that don't use Uber, but pay for Amazon Prime, that now makes this plan the best deal.

Update: You can dial *2 from your Sprint phone to have your account converted. https://community.sprint.com/t5/E...swAdDfoPeA

Sprint reached out and tells us that the link in the OP is outdated and this one https://community.sprint.com/t5/E...-p/1033393 is the newer, corrected one.
I didn't want to edit the OP but if the OP wanted to edit to have this link.. that would be great.

Note: Sprint stated they were in the process of of migrating all SERO accounts to SWAC, so you can either initiate the move yourself if you wish, or wait until they eventually get to your account.

Here is the dedicated customer service email. [email protected]
When I last used it, they took a full day to reply, but did so personably and thoroughly.

Thanks OP for posting!

I'm on Sero $50, and I know nothing about SWAC.

Is there anything I'm losing by switching to SWAC that I should be aware of?

And is the included Amazon Prime full Amazon Prime, meaning that I can cancel my current yearly sub?
I would argue you probably lose the 300MB of roaming data in the short run, the newer sprint plans are getting 100MB of roaming data, until they convert over to Tmobile for roaming, that is.

Was in Germany couple of years ago and I had data - slow
But used the hell out of it.
I also use over 100 gb from time to time.
And, I can do upgrades at Best buy. Maybe elsewhere as well.
- that took a lot of work to get working.
I also have Amazon prime
But hotspot for the kids tablets would be nice and I would like to add a wearable if possible.

Got an Iphone Xs Max with 18 month lease and Iphone 6 trade in offer on my SERO plan last fall. Will switching to SWAC affect the monthly credit?

I've had sprint SERO plan for about 10 years now. Pay like $55.00 a month after taxes and fees
450 Minutes of talk time I think
Unlimited Text and data

What are the benefits of this, and should I even risk doing the switch. I'm afraid if something goes wrong I wont be allowed on the new plan, but can't get back on the grandfathered SERO plan.

EWD Phone Conversion Option3.

Paying $50 for Amazon Prime doesn't make any sense.
I converted 4 13 year old SERO lines to the $30 a month plans.
Must use AutoPay, or pay $5 extra per line per month (35).
Plan seems much better because calls are Unlimited.
50 GB is plenty for me.
Hotspot and HULU aren't important to me, but included for free.
Was Offered 2 Free Phones to boot. Must visit retail store to pick them out Smilie
How did you get an offer for free phones?

Like you, I was sitting on the fence and wondered about the benefits of SWAC over SERO, or vice versa. Reports on recent Reddit threads of SERO plans being converted, initiated by Sprint, seemed to me to indicate that the end of SERO was inevitable. Additionally, I questioned how SERO plans would be handled if and when the TMobile/Sprint merger occurred and given everything that the SWAC plan offers (and also taking into consideration SWAC's $35/month vs. SERO's $57/month), it seemed to be a better fit for me today, than my 10+ year old SERO plan (which, interestingly, was at $30 when it was first introduced).

I switched to SWAC last month and after reading subsequent posts, I've had no regrets with the conversion. The process was seamless and, in addition, I now have phone/data coverage in Mexico/Canada (I currently volunteer with a non-profit that operates medical clinics in Baja California, MX so this is a big plus for me), as well as a 50gb hotspot and Hulu and Tidal Premium, all for $20 less/month. In the end, it was a pretty easy choice and I'm very pleased with the result. Nice to see that Sprint remembered we "old timers", that hung in there with SERO and it's various iterations, over the years. Good luck.

BTW, if you choose to convert your SERO plan and intend to take advantage of the SWAC plan's "International Roaming", which is included, you will have to call Sprint and have it enabled on your account, as it isn't done automatically through the conversion process. When questioned, Sprint directed me to call their "Sprint Worldwide" department, at 888-226-7212 Option 3 and they were able to easily enable the International Roaming feature.

You should be able to. I have the $50 plan. I get $20 Uber credits and HotSpot data too. My connection is slow at times, but I love this plan.
May I ask how to get the $20 Uber credit?

Who you calling an old fogie? GrumpyToe Tap

I'm awestruck in how popular this thread is. Reminds me of the old SERO threads that went on for pages and pages. Peace
