Sprint reached out and tells us that the link in the OP is outdated and this one https://community.sprin t.com/t5/E...-p/1033393 is the newer, corrected one.
I didn't want to edit the OP but if the OP wanted to edit to have this link.. that would be great.

When I last used it, they took a full day to reply, but did so personably and thoroughly.

SWAC is the better plan, and it's more likely to stick around (in one form or another). There's really no benefit at all to SERO at this point.
1) Would I be able to use this website: https://sprint.custhelp
to convert from SERO to SWAC without issue if my initial SERO referral 10+ years ago wasn't legit?
2) Would I be eligible for the Google Pixel discount after switching plans (assuming I'm able to switch plans)?

sprint even offered to switch me to t-mob network and keep the same plan if I wanted.
1. I bought a S21 that belongs to Sprint Network. (off ebay, and checked the imei to confirm before buying)
2. Log into my account, goto "Manage Device" and select "Activate New Device"
3. Put in the new IMEI (there are 2 imei and I put the first one. I think either should work)
4. The web show you the old phone IMEI and old SIM card, along with the New phone IMEI and new SIM card in it.
5. It does ask you if you want to switch to a TMobile Sim card which I answered no.
6. Old phone and new phone were both powered on as needed.
7. After I confirmed the switch, old phone's network becomes invalid immediately
8. I have to reboot new phone. And it activated automatically.
9. Everything works fine since then. Sprint My Account page still show my old phone but changed after 1 day
I've been on SERO for 15 years (SERO Fair & Flexible Plan 500 $30.00). And as crazy as it might sound I'm still using my Samsung a900. Served me well. Falling apart now.
Received email notification that Sprint's 3G (CDMA) network will retire on January 1, 2022 and I need to upgrade my phone. Didn't have time to focus on it for the last month or so. Then an email yesterday now says the Sprint 3G network will now remain in service until March 31, 2022 (probably Covid surge). But I still need to upgrade my phone.
Went back and checked some past bills online and saw that my plan was changed in summer 2019 to Sprint Wireless Advantage Club. Don't recall getting any notification about this. Reminds me of when they changed my SERO to Fair & Flexible Plan 500 without my permission. Had to call then.
Now reading through this thread, there's a lot I wasn't aware of. Now recent email is saying I must get a new phone. They list what is available to me:
T-Mobile REVVL V+5G
Samsung Galaxy A32 5G
Samsung A13 5G
Samsung Galaxy A52 5G
Samsung Galaxy A71 5G
Samsung Galaxy AO2s
Motorola moto g stylus 5G
Motorola Moto G Pure
Motorola Moto g play
Nokia x100
Apple iPhone XR
OnePlus Nord N100
LG Aristo 5
Not sure what's the best call here.
