I agree, the new packages are HORRIBLE they got rid of about half the channels. Not worth even paying the 5$ for the extra stream. Also It requires a really good connection and can be a little glitchy here and there. Free is free though just make absolute sure you cancel before you get billed again
Cancel right away after registration. It lets you keep the TV for a month till trial ends.
Guess I'll sign up on the 31st so I can catch some GoT

Does it still take 20-30 seconds to change the channel?

They're trying to save their Q1 subscriber count. Good deal for what it is.

Had DirecTV Now a year ago for one month & cancelled because the channel feeds kept cutting out every 10 seconds or so. And then reappearing 10 or so seconds later. It was unwatchable, but hopefully they've fixed those issues & added DVR functionality as well.

Because coming from Xfinity I tried to cut the cord & went with DirecTV Now & then I've had regular DirecTV for almost a year. But they charge too much as well for what I get & now they're gonna be cutting some channels for the same price, so frak that.

I only went with DirecTV instead of trying Hulu TV/PlayStation Vue/Sling TV or YouTube TV next. Because I had to switch from Xfinity internet to AT&T Fiber because Xfinity's internet was fast but twice the price if I wanted unlimited.

Because just that one month of DirecTV Now we went well over 1TB of data (1350GBs) & although slower for now, AT&T Fiber comes with unlimited. 25Mbps compared to the 250Mbps I was used to with Xfinity sucks. But $30 per month is far better than over $100 for unlimited Xfinity internet.

And it was just $77 per month total to add DirecTV, so I just went with it. But little did I know that not even ESPN came with that base package. Plus my mom's wanted to watch her A's games & I wanted to see LeBron on my Lakers with NBA TV.

So I had to upgrade 2 levels & add HBO for freakin $17.99 per month & now my bill is $149.58 every month. So frak that, I'm gonna cancel my DirecTV service next month after one year. And keep the internet, which has already doubled in my area to AT&T Fiber Internet 50 with unlimited.

And go back to either this DirecTV Now or one of the other cord cutting TV services. Sorry for the long rant homeboys.

IKR, it's been a year for me. So hopefully they've fixed all their problems & added DVR functionality.

Cool, thanks. But if it's issues have been fixed, I might just stay.

I won't stay with them. The biggest issue I have is that I can't still pause live TV. After using YouTube TV I'm kinda addicted to that feature.
