Really? If you have a micro center nearby you can easily get this with ssd and 8gb 580 for less than 600. Especially because ryzen 2700 is at $200 now.

Not bad but I wouldn't go for it,

It should be $700 with the promo and it would be a deal, especially there is no SSD and the 580 is only the 4gb (Still a good card) if it had a SSD or the 8gb 580 it would be more worth it.

Would anyone actually buy a pre build like this for $900?! Like the non sale price?!

It's currently $1050 @ Dell [dell.com]and $1150 @ Best Buy [bestbuy.com], so even urlhasbeenblocked's regular price isn't terrible. Honestly, to build your own comparable system you'd have to buy all Slick Deals parts to beat this price, and deal with MIRs to boot.

Not so long ago, an HP desktop with exactly similar specs and an added 128 gig ssd was on sale at bestbuy for $700. I would call that a deal. This is still $50 more without the ssd. I regret not pulling the trigger on that one. It hasn't been that price since.

Link? No results searching for "Dell Inspiron 5676 Desktop"... or "Dell Inspiron ryzen 2700". Or are you talking about buying all sep parts and building one?

If an SSD was included and it was $700, or if it was newegg(no tax) I would've bought it. A 256 SSD is a must in my opinion.

Yeah and a lot of people were saying the same thing about the bestbuy hp as they do in all these pre built threads.. "you could build it for cheaper.... yada yada yada" yet they're always in a pre built thread??

That one also had a CD burner and micro sd card reader built in.. it was a solid deal as is this.

The closest Micro Center is ~190 miles, so that's not really an option. Even then, based on online prices, best I can do is $658 (HDD not SSD), and that doesn't include the OS. For a pre-built PC, this is still not a bad deal.

I bought this system a while back, when they were packing a Ryzen1700X. Nice performance for the price. One drawback to look into is the GPU. The Radeon 580s and 570s Dell was shipping were rebadged 400 series cards. The issue is the clocks are running at 400 speeds, not the higher 500 rates. Not sure if this is still an issue as it's been a while and a CPU refresh later. Work looking into if you're considering it though.

I'm still happy with my system though, as it was still a great price and I wasn't interested in the GPU.
