FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T DO YOUR RESEARCH, THIS PHONE RUNS ON SNAPDRAGON 670.

Pay attention to where you buy the 3a from, as there are two concurrent promotions that do not stack:

store.google.com

The Promotional Balance can only be used in the country of purchase. Limit 1 per customer. Offer isn't valid if the device (or any part of the order) is returned. Customers will receive an email notifying them Promotional Balance is added to their account within 6 weeks after the end of the promotion. It's non-transferable, and not valid for cash or a cash equivalent. Available only while supplies last. Shipping charges may apply at checkout. Void where prohibited. Promotional balance expires on August 31, 2019. Terms of sale and additional Promotional Balance terms apply: https://store.google.com/intl/en_...terms.html.

// Start Q&A ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Does Pixel 3a/3a XL phone delivery require a signature?
A: No. However, if you're waiting on a trade-in phone from Total Wireless or Tracfone or Straight Talk then expect a "direct signature required" delivery via FedEx.

Q: Can I return the phone?
A: Yes, within 15 days after the day you receive it. A restocking fee of $35 applies to any return of such wireless device (excluding purchases and returns occurring in Hawaii and where prohibited by law). The restocking fee will be taxed in select states.

Q: What happens if I have a trade-in and I return the phone?
A: You'll receive the trade-in value as a Google Store credit in your account.

Q: Do I have to activate the phone right away?
A: No. Do whatever you want with your beautiful new unlocked Pixel phone.

Q: Can I activate the phone on the Sprint network using the esim manager?
A: See https://slickdeals.net/f/13067710-google-store-eligible-apple-smartphone-trade-in-towards-google-pixel-3a-up-to-250-credit-100-google-store-credit?p=127428955#post127428955

Q: Can I use Google Store credit on Google Express?
A: No, only on the Google Store. You cannot use it on Google Play either, nor for YouTube Premium.

Q: There's no mention of the $100 Google Store credit on my order. Why?
A: That's normal. Also, you must be logged into your Google account when you buy the phone. Read the terms for more details.
A: UPDATE: Google Store $100 credit promotion is now over.

Q: When will I get the $100 Google Store credit?
A: Within 6-8 weeks after purchase according to a Google rep. Also note that you'll get an email notifying you when the Promotional Balance has been added to your account within 6 weeks after the end of the promotion.

Q: Can you get the $100 Google Store credit and do a trade-in at the same time?
A: Yes
A: UPDATE: Google Store $100 credit promotion is now over.

A: UPDATE: Google Store $100 credit promotion is now over.

Q: Can I get both the $100 Google Store credit AND the $100 Google Fi credit?
A: No.
A: UPDATE: Google Store $100 credit promotion is now over.

Q: When does the $100 Google Store credit expire?
A: August 31, 2019. Must buy a Pixel 3a by May 18, 2019 at 11:59pm PT to qualify for the credit.

Q: Can I sell the $100 Google Store credit on eBay?
A: No, it's credited to your Google Account.

Q: Can I trade-in more than one phone?
A: No. Maximum of one trade-in phone per new phone purchase.

Q: Does my trade-in have to be carrier unlocked or activated?
A: No (but iPhones must be "iCloud unlocked")

Q: For trade-in, what qualifies for "other"?
A: Metro, Cricket, Tracfone, Total Wireless, or other prepaid carrier

Q: Is the trade-in dead? I'm only seeing a $64 trade-in value.
A: Make sure you're not buying on Google Fi (they don't have the good trade-in values) and try changing the carrier or memory size. Not all combinations have the great trade-in values.

Q: When do you get the trade-in kit?
A: You'll probably get the phone first... then the trade-in kit a few days later via USPS.

Q: What do I need to send back for the trade-in?
A: Just the phone (no charger, no cables, no SIM card). Follow Google's instructions for reset and everything else.

Q: How long does Google give you to send in your trade-in?
A: Phones sent for trade-in must be received within 30 days of initiation of trade-in process, provided the purchased device has not been returned during that time.

Q: What's next after I send in my trade-in?
A: They'll review your phone and send you an email within 5 days of receiving it. After the phone is assessed, you should get a refund within 24 hours.

Q:I have an old work iPhone 6s laying around. Does anyone know how to check to see if I can trade it in or if it's registered to the company and not eligible?
A: You'll need to be able to reset it and erase all content. You'll need to remove it from any iCloud accounts. If it's locked to an iCloud account then you can't trade it in.

Q: What's a good screen protector?
A: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P1132FT/ (but must align perfectly)

1.) buy iPhone 6 [totalwireless.com] from total wireless ($49+$35 phone plan = $85 + tax)
2. Buy Pixel 3a [google.com] from Google and add a trade in phone (iPhone 6 32GB, other) value ($250 value)
Cost of Pixel before trade in = $399 + tax
Total cost = ($399 + pixel tax - $250 trade in credit + $85 iphone + iphone tax)) = $240 phone AND you still get $100 Store credit.
For me the final value was ($426 pixel with tax - 250 credit + $91 iphone = $267)

AND I still get $100 Store credit!

Just got pixel 3a for 399 and traded iphone SE for 250
Amazing deal
There is an option to protect your self, last step of the trade in before you add it to your cart.

" If my phone's condition is different than above, accept its new value."
Uncheck to get your phone back without credit if its condition is different from above. If you choose to get your phone back, you accept all liability if the return shipment is lost or damaged. If this occurs, Google Customer Support can provide guidance on how to file a claim. Go to g.co/phonetradein for more details.

I don't think there's anything to activate. You get an unlocked phone, use it whenever you want.

I see the following in terms and conditions
Factoryreset Your Device, unlock Your Device (including removing Your Device from any services that prevent it from being activated), and remove all SIM and memory cards from Your Device;
What does the it mean?
For iOS remove iCloud account, then format.
On android you must unlink ALL Google accounts prior to factory reset. The device must be connected to the internet.

I took delivery of my pixel 3a XL. Box looked like it was tampered with. Opened the box and saw the actual phone box was already opened. Inside the pixel box, the phone, cable, charger and sim eject pin all stolen. Had to call Google and they said they will send a replacement. Never had an experience like this before.

What is the return policy? Can I open my 3a and use it for the 15 day period or does it have to be in the box to return it?

I ask because if for some reason this $250 doesn't work out...I would want to return this phone and I don't want to open it if it means I can't return it down the line. I only know I have 15 days from day I recieved it, what other clauses are there?

Yes, you can use the phone. Just keep it in original condition, and wipe the data. You will have to pay the $35 restocking fee regardless.

I can confirm I was able to activate my Pixel 3a on the Sprint network using the esim manager. Pretty darn cool! I had to install a physical sim card in order to have access to all of the Mobile Network settings on the Pixel. Without a sim card in the phone, all of the settings were grayed out.

With access to the Advanced Mobile Network settings, I selected Add Carrier and the esim manager. You must be connected to wifi. The esim selections are Google Fi, Sprint and a QR Code. I selected Sprint and had to log into my Sprint account. Select the Sprint line you want set up on the esim. They will send a security code to the phone connected to that line. Enter the code and it starts the transfer. Service disconnected from my old phone within seconds and it took a few minutes for the Pixel to connect to the Sprint network.

Also, I have the Sprint 'free' BYOD plan.

I have a verizon Iphone6 32GB in a very nice condition. On the trade in page It is showing as 'Not eligible for trade-in'. Why google is accepting 16GB Verizone Iphone6 but not 32GB verizon iPhone6. Do I have any other choice?

Try going through the screens on mobile. I got "not eligible" on a desktop for a 64gb but $240ish on mobile.

Sounds like bad luck. The 2 Pixel 3a's I received were both new in box. I'm glad Google is working with you.

It's odd that 32gb has no trade value. I guess buy one of the SEs that have been discussed in this thread.
