This is correct. Tracfone is only for light users. With Google Hangouts and WiFi, one can still can get a lot done with this plan.

All depends on your usage. personally I use most of my data on wifi so I would rather have 3 GB to use over a year instead of 250 mb a month where I might only use 100 mb one month and the next I need 1 GB for traveling.

That's 6GB / year for $120 vs 3GB / year for $49 if we are only talking about data.
The Red Pocket plan cost is $60 for the basic plan you are discussing, not $120.

A dumb question: If I buy two of them, will it stack ? Will I get 1 year expiration with 2400/2400/ 6GB ? Or will I get 2400/2400/6GB 2 years expiration ?
TIA
They should stack with 2 years expiration.

Do you no longer offer service on Verizon? I noticed the listings you have on ebay offer only the sprint SIM or AT&T SIM

edit: on the following plan
$20/Mo Red Pocket Prepaid Wireless Phone Plan: Unlmtd Everything 5GB LTE

To simplify for those that have never done it - It's basically a BYOP sim kit with minutes included. Go online to your TF account, choose activate, choose keep current number. Everything (current minutes+new year) should be switched over to the new sim. Replace old sim with new one after transfer is done. If that's too complicated just contact customer service by chat or phone & have them do it for you.
Just a warning - Before transferring your # to the new SIM, go to their chat and have them confirm your current benefits (minute, text, data and service end date). Keep the chat session record because you may need it. I am speaking from experience.
I just reported them to BBB for a second time because they lost all my minutes, text and data that should have rolled over. They did came through for me the first time. The 2nd time they were able to restore my minutes, text, data and end of service date. Unfortunately, they lost my phone #. Yes, I had that phone # for over 8 years. They just assigned me a new phone #. That's such a big hassle for me that I think it is time for me to move on from Tracfone. I believe that's the reason I have little or no appetite for this great deal by OP.

FYI - mine shipped tonight, will be interesting to see what I get since I chose "I don't know" rather than a specific network. I have phones on both Verizon & AT&T (unlocked phones) so it really won't matter.

I'm interested to know if anyone selected "I don't know" and received theirs already. Thanks.

I read somewhere that you get 3 Sims (one per carrier) and 1 airtime plan. You activate depending on which carrier works best for you. But the Airtime are linked to those Sims so you must activate with one of them I think.

Check eBay messages (or email) to see if you got the 8% ebucks (no minimum) and activate it to make this effectively $46 ... it is good thru 5/22.

I just received my sim card kit.It had a separate smartphone 365 day card. All I had to do was go to my account and click add time and put in pin code from card. Did not need to activate new sim card. Very simple for existing tracfone user. It updated my minutes, data, texts immediately.

Should be absolutely identical. Your phone and the actual t-mo tower will determine signal strength.
