So glad ram is finally cheap again

People in the buildapcsales subreddit over the threads during the last few weeks have said that the black set actually has 16-18-18 timings just like the silver set, and that the listing just has a misprint.

That being said, I got 2 sets of the silver 2 weeks ago when they were about $10 more. They run great with a 2600x and a B450 Tomahawk.

This goes into recent year model desktop computers to increase their ability to hold information in recent storage (random access memory- ie RAM).

If you've never opened your computer case (or don't own a modern PC with separate monitor), this is probably not for you.

Yay! Simple Google search told me lower timings are faster, so I bought the silver ones. About $65 in the end with sales tax after applying coupon.

Yeah it's strange that the two have different timings.. Lower is definitely better but they look to be the same RAM except for color? Probably a typo or something.

Either way, nice price.

They could work at the lower speed if their specs not the same, but it is not recommended because it may exist compatibility issue when mix different brands or specs.
