    Isn't this the same config that was $637 from Dell yesterday? And that was even before a $100 SD rebate?

    Yep, but rebate is not 100% and some have 5% back on the amazon credit card. Depends on your desire to fill a rebate

    Yes. Dell had a 1 day Memorial Day sale with $100 SD rebate.

    $537.50 before taxes after $100 SD rebate.

    That deal was cheaper even if you didn't apply for the rebate. I am not a fan of SD rebates, but saving $20 here with the 5% back is too small a consolation for giving up a potential $100.

    Now, for those with no tax at Amazon (if there are any), that's a different story...

    I recommend checking Viewsonic monitors they have freesync and they are cheaper

    Just happened to be looking at this on Ebay yesterday. The only issue is the power supply is abysmal, so you're probably going to have to spend some money to replace it but otherwise not bad.

    There's some folks who will do mental gymnastics in order to justify buying everything from Amazon. Can't believe this has nearly 20 thumbs after same model was less before the rebate and over $100 less after the rebate. Also love that fact that the guy you were responding to claims the rebate isn't certain when he just joined SD last month. Probably got duped by all the other idiots who have been going off about how SD rebates are a scam even though plenty of people, myself included, have followed the rebate directions and never had an issue. On top of that, Dell cashback rates are always around 10%-15% during the rebate offers and I've nearly always gotten them to stack (even though that's a big no-no). Finally, let's not forget about Dell rewards that earn 5% on all purchases (10% w/the Dell store card) and can be used on Microsoft gift cards if you can't find anything else to buy. The only thing that ever deters me from buying directly from Dell is their horrid, outsourced timesuck they like to call customer service. Amazon is certainly better on that front but theirs has gone significantly downhill as well.

    Since SD hit the mainstream somewhere in the past five years, it's really beginning to feel like the site needs a tagline. "Deals for the slow and lazy" sounds about right.

    As for sales tax, aside from states that don't have a state sales tax to begin with, Amazon charges it everywhere.
