I have one of these and do recommend it at this price.

I exclusively use it for green smoothies and it's great for that. I bought it because I live in a small studio apartment where counter space is sparse and I'm single so only need to make a single serving at a time. It's basically a sexier version of the Bullet or Ninja. Prob not a good option if you use it for actual cooking since it doesn't hold a lot of liquid (but capable if you can deal with this limitation).

If you've owned a full size vitamix before, there are two things you need to get use to. First is that the motor is smaller so you'll need to run the blender for 50% longer, but you eventually get to the same smooth results. Second is you need to detach the blade base from the container when you wash. It's an extra step that was annoying at first but I got use to it.
These personal blenders are very convenient for travel and when space limited. They pale in power comparison (about half the watts) to the Vitamix full size models.

Basically really good for smaller volumes of basic smoothies, dressings and sauces but struggles to produce good results with nut butters, frozen blends, and dense green smoothies.
Am I missing something huge here?? You people travel with a blender?....can't you just buy a cheapie $20 when you get there if you absolutely must have one in your hotel room?

(yes, I own the full sized one.... But why would I want one on vacation??... Sounds like a pain to travel with!)

Wtf?

Anyone have personal experience with this blender? I've been on the lookout for a great blender on discount but I don't know anything about this particular model. TIA

We have a full size Vitamix and also one of these S models for when we travel. It would never replace my full size but you won't be disappointed. Especially at this price.

We bought our S at TJ Maxx for 200 and I think it came with one more shaker cup. Solid unit.

Wtf?
Why pack clothes when you can buy them when you get there?

Why lug around a DSLR or mirrorless camera when you can just buy a cheap disposable camera?

Why bring anything at all?

If you don't see value in bringing a blender with you, then don't do it. But not everyone is okay with settling for inferior quality, while also wasting lots of money and harming the environment by continuously buying and discarding cheap products.

Yes, good for purées. If you do greens in you baby food, the greens won't be as "smooth" as when using a full size Vitamix with the 32 or 48oz containers.
