Just picked up a 20v MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless 13 in. String Grass Trimmer with 4Ah Battery and Charger Included for $99. This is compared to their brushless bare-tool at $119.
Was unable to find the deal or even the model number (DCST925M1) on their website, but it was advertised Special Buy in the lawn section with 40+ units available. Even scanning UPC in the Home Depot app doesn't pull any inventory - so possible YMMV.

Thanks for the info. This is a MAX XR (battery) model as well, just not brushless and with a 4.0 Ah battery. From what I've seen, the battery/charger itself is worth the $99 but I may be wrong.
Agreed, I think it's still a solid value, just not as good of a deal is all.
The guard is also surprisingly small, but it's pretty easy to edge with if you flip it over (wear eye protection and such).

There is no brushed version of yard tools from dewalt. There all brushless

I used to have the 20v trimmer and blower and there not bad but nothing special either. The flexvolt ones are way better and actually on par with brands like ego and others. Although i wouldnt be suprised if ego is a little better but obviously less battery compatibility since they dont make construction tools. flexvolt trimmer has a bigger guard you can buy buy additional from dewalt service net not sure bout 20v model tho. may be the same. guard is terrible and blocks no debris better wear long pants
