Target is offering Buy 2 Get 1 Free on All Board Games. Select free store pickup where stock permits, otherwise shipping is free on orders $35+. Thanks persian_mafia
Note, discount is automatically applied when you add 3 board games to cart.
I wish Above and Below was still in stock. Tried to buy it within the last week on eBay, and the seller is trying to claim he didn't receive my money.
I think this boardgame was instock last time or the time before Target had a boardgame sale...
Great choice. I bought it on Amazon (Dec 3, 2018) for only $26.88 though I see it's regularly $50.. didn't realize how big a sale I caught it on. (I only bought it because I saw it here on slickdeals, I'm sure.)
I gave it to my brother-in-law for Christmas and have played it a couple times with them... very cool/fun strategy game, though it took us 3+ hours the first time and 2+ hours the second time. It's a high quality game with lots of pieces so I can see how it's not cheap, though I might have a hard time paying $50 for it. Hope you can get it on sale.
Ooh, they have Islebound, another one from Red Raven games (like Above and Below). Regularly $50 but on sale for $27 on both Target[target.com] and Amazon[amazon.com]. If it's still that price next week, that could be a great one to pick up.
One Amazon questions says:
Question: How similar is this game to above and below? are they different enough to warrant having both? we love above and below. thanks!
Answer: TL;DR: Other than the similar art style, they are very different games. If you're a fan of Red Raven Games, you should definitely own both.
Details: Above and Below is the half way point between a story-based game and a resource management game - having equal elements of both. Islebound is far less of a story, and much more focused on the resource management mechanic. Both are very fun for their own reasons.
The successor to both of these Near and Far, combines the best elements of both. (A must have in my opinion).
Which one of the three is my personal favorite? I have to say, Islebound more than the others really "hits the spot" for me.

If you liked Above and Below, give Dead of Winter a try. We have both and we played A&B second unfortunately. After DoW, A&B felt too light, with few interesting choices to make (most choices - interact with underground character or keep moving? - were pretty obvious). DoW is also entertaining for all on the gamer spectrum - both my heavy duty gamer friends (Doomhaven etc) as well as my gaming lightweight friends (Monopoly etc) have been excited to play it multiple times. It's on sale on Amazon regularly.

The "man vs meeple" video review of Islebound [youtube.com] on YouTube should give you a solid review of the game.
If can't combine, buy 2/3 of the same and return what you don't want. The discount gets prorated.

It should available online and in-stores.
