Saw a new sign at Walmart that looks pretty interesting. There's no dates on it, and I can't find any info on the deal anywhere which tells me that someone probably screwed up and put the sign out too soon....but anyway.

Seems like a pretty good deal for AT&T network:

$50/mo. but $40 with autopay:
- UNL Talk & Text
- 25GB High Speed Data then 2G
- Hotspot included
- Mexico and Canada roaming included

2 lines would be $70, 3 lines would be $100, 4 lines would be $120, and 5 lines would be $140.

Looks like this deal is only at Walmart - everywhere else has 16GB data offer and it requires autopay. This offer looks like it doesn't require auto-pay.

Jesus, the FUD in this thread is ridiculous. You get all 25GB at max speed, LTE. I regularly speed test between 80 and 100mbps download speeds. While AT&T reserves the right to deprioritize your data (vs postpaid) in the 5+ years I've had AT&T Prepaid, I've never noticed a slowdown that those on postpaid around me did not also notice. Yes, if you miss a payment or change plans, your bonus 17GB data goes away forever. So don't do that. No, AT&T isn't trying to screw you. Stop reading into the meaning of "high speed data". The plan is pretty straightforward. Buy the phone at WalMart, activate it in the 8GB plan, and you get 25GB/mo as long as you remain on the plan.

Is this supposed to be available in all Walmarts? The nearest one to me had signs up that said it was only the doubled 16gb and the associates I asked didn't know anything about the 25gb promotion.

Wondering how they verify the phone you are registering the account with was purchased at Walmart. Is it something to do with the IMEI/ICCID perhaps?

If this has all the taxes and fees like usual, then it's not a good deal. Several dollars per line on top is ridiculous. ATT is a joke (well, they all are, b/c they just steal tax money, but trying to hide the true cost is sad).

Better off with straight talk 1 yr plan.

You can do that for $35 using the ATT prepaid iPad plan (unlimited data).
Can you provide a link? All I see are the 3-10-18 GB tablet plans for 25-50-75$. Thank you

ZTE Maven 3 is $9 on clearance at most locations but somewhat hard to find brickseek [brickseek.com]

ZTE Blade Spark 16GB is $19 brickseek [brickseek.com]
Brickseek has become less and less reliable. Major letdown on zte blade spark 4 which brickseek showed 7 available.

Yes - the phones are all locked until they are scanned at the register when you buy. All those IMEI are flagged as Walmart which is why it takes up to 10 days to get your bonus data the first month and 2 days each month thereafter.

Do a search for iPad AT&T on Howard Forums or Google. Basically you need a cellular iPad to start the plan on the device itself then you can move to the hotspot.

Straight Talk has taxes too...the yeah plan is $41.25/mo plus tax ($495/12). This is $40/mo plus tax AND you get hotspot AND you get Mexico calling AND you can swap phones easily without dealing with garbage customer service AND you don't have to pay $500 up front AND....AND....AND...

Tracfone companies are lacking in many ways. This deal puts Straight Talk to shame.

Whoever got the deal and swapped the Walmart phone, please let us know if the bonus data is still in your account.

Curious how long the Walmart phone would have to be used for?

Anybody still on the $30/mo T-mobile 5GB, 100 minute prepaid plan like I am?

I actually get great service from T-mo here in San Diego unlike some people on the internets who are constantly complaining about them, but am considering jumping to this plan since I usually go over the 100 minutes (and pay 10c/min after) and have to be really conscious with my data usage. Anybody considering doing this or are definitely doing this?

I actually spoke with customer service and they assured me I could switch to another device without effecting the promo. So I switched the sim to an iPhone, however it will be up to 10 days before bonus data is added. My speed and call quality is very good so far.

I am not going to switch my other 4 lines over to this until I see this happen on my initial account.

Any idea when the end date of this promo is?
