Costco Wholesale in store price for members is $399.99. If purchased online members will have to pay an additional $9.95 shipping fee. That is why the moderator listed this for $410.00 when this deal went Frontpage, assuming it being purchased online from Costco.com with the shipping charge (399.99 plus $9.95 shipping charge) rounded up to $410.00. If you want to forgo the $9.95 shipping charge and pick this up for $399.99 you need to go to the store.

I saw this in store at the same price about a week ago, although it's currently at the regular price. At $400 I think it's actually an excellent value. I had the prior version of this (IdeaPad 330S), and this looks better in most ways:
- Build quality seems better; it's still got an aluminum lid and plastic everywhere else, but the keyboard deck has a nice rubberized feel to it, feels much nicer than the 330S
- Battery capacity is listed at 36WHr, compared to 30 on my 330S (some other configurations have bigger batteries). My 330S had dismal battery life - 2 hrs for heavy use, about 4 hrs normal use. This should be better but not by much. That would be my biggest reservation with this laptop.
- IPS touchscreen is decent, IPS but not the best. It's between matte and glossy - more reflective than the matte nontouch screen on my 330S, but less reflective than the touch displays on most consumer laptops.
- Keyboard is backlit, keys have nicer feel than on my 330S, which were rather cheap-feeling.
I have this exact laptop. Bought this from Costco little while ago. This is a great laptop for casual users.
This 8GB RAM is not completely on a stick. 4GB is onboard plus 4GB stick

This takes a max of 16GB RAM in a stick (which brings the total to 20GB RAM)

Also, this comes with an empty 2.5 inch SATA/SSD slot. So, if required we can add an extra hard drive.

# I have opened the below and my RAM status in task manager shows (6.3 / 7.8 81%); CPU is averaging around 10%
# 20 chrome tabs
# Microsoft Project
# Paint brush
# Microsoft Excel
# Microsoft Word
# Microsoft Outlook

Laptop works smoothly.

Also, my battery is currently at 98%, And, it says 6hr 43 min remaining

if you have any other questions regarding this laptop, please ask here and I will try to answer as much as I can

Any particular reason to wait for the amd ryzen version that's just went out of stock over this? Looks like same specs otherwise.

The Ryzen model has a higher-capacity battery, although Ryzen is a bit less power-efficient. The Ryzen also has higher CPU and better graphics performance, although for everyday tasks (other than gaming) you probably won't notice any difference.

bettadaze: Edit your above Post with a link to the S340 Ryzen version you are referring to. I did a search here for "Lenovo S340" found this that was posted today: https://slickdeals.net/f/13150294-lenovo-ideapad-s340-touch-15-6-amd-ryzen-5-3500u-8-gb-ram-256gb-ssd-489-99 which is $90 more.

02nz: Two weeks ago it was only $50 off

Is there any chance this will be online only? If it's not the same price in store, do you know if they price match their own website? Their FAQs imply that it will always be a same or lower price in store but I'm new to this & just don't want to drive 45 mins to find out it's more in store. FAQs also say they price match their own in store sales but it didn't mention online pricing. 🤷🏻

Could of sworn I saw a 340 at Staples for $399 recently, but not seeing it on the website.

81QG0002US $441 (Lenovo.com expired)

81N8001LUS $499 Staples [staples.com]

81QF0008US $669 Staples [staples.com]

I think the ad says also available at costco.com, meaning the price is in store price. Before leaving home, call your costco store and ask their price.

Don't quote me and please correct if wrong, but from what I typically think I see is that they offer the deals from the flyer online, but you have to pay for shipping (typically about $10 for a laptop). But this should be offered at this price in any store that has stock.

I wonder how lenovo compares to dell (https://www.costco.com/Dell-Inspi...04645.html). I prefer lenovo due to IPS, SSD.

Your link is not working because of the ")" at the end of the address. https://www.costco.com/Dell-Inspi...04645.html

Made a mistake of buying an IdeaPad once, never again. Buy a used ThinkPad, it's much better.
