However since that doesn't appear to be on sale right now, this table is a huge improvement over that one and isn't that much more. When I was looking to upgrade, I was waiting and waiting for this one to go on sale, but my LP60 died before I had the chance and I went with an Orbit instead. If this had gone on sale I would have definitely chosen it.
It has a built in preamp so less for you to worry yourself about and out of the box compatibility with most setups.
I would call this a mid level TT, and "mid level" is really few and far between. You either go with this guy and probably never feel a need to upgrade unless you are a serious audio snob, or get a sale LP60 and maybe upgrade it a year or so later when you've felt out the hobby. If you're gonna listen more than weekly, this is it. If it's a monthly novelty save your money and get the LP60 on sale since it's made for that kind of casual use.

For the price of a Red and the Teac turntable....I would buy this.
No. The S-shaped arm is to align the cartridge with the groove. The arm is shaped this way to improve the performance of any cartridge.
These people are the worst. Just go away if you don't have anything positive to say.
I think you mean "turn me on dead man" which is a backwards play effect . "I buried Paul" should be audible on any turntable.
