I've never had a good experience with an HP laptop. On my last one both RAM cards died within a month of each other right after the warranty expired on the laptop. HP support was zero help and tried to charge me $400 to replace 16GB of RAM lol.
Another time I sent a laptop in for repairs under warranty and paid extra to have the service expedited. There was a 2 week delay from my expected return time and they didn't even fix it under warranty (quoting another $400 outrageous bill). They lied about water damage and when I called them out they changed their story to "damage on the casing" which was just a few scratches from being in my backpack. I think I'll avoid HP from now on.
HP Pavilion line is never known for their battery life. 6 to 7 hours max with moderate usage and 40% screen brightness. Average battery life will be like 5 to 6 hours.
A macbook with these specs would cost $2500

When I look at laptops, if it doesn't have a dedicated gpu, I always want a decent battery. But at this price point I understand.
