But is this really 8GB for the whole year? You might be better off going monthly. You get 1GB data for $35 a month but if you set up autopay the price drops to $30 a month. Then I can usually find top up cards on sale for 10% off, sometimes even better. So the price drops to let's say $27 per month. Only $2 more per month and you get 4GB more data per year. You can still add 1GB if you want but I've never need to myself.

Other monthly charges: Apply per line and may include taxes, federal and state universal service charges, Regulatory Cost Recovery Charge (up to $1.25), gross receipts surcharge, Administrative Fee, and other government assessments which are not government-required charges. Additional one-time charges may apply. See att.com/additionalcharges for more details on other charges for your area. In some areas, discretionary fees, taxes, or charges such as E911 fees will be debited from your AT&T PREPAID account balance as the law allows.
I believe at&t prepaid has wifi calling and VOLTE now and this plan also includes unlimited calling/messaging in and between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada (Click on "read the legal stuff").
