Oh gosh why do you continue writing your username after your post 😱
Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.

I received my SIM card today and put it in my phone. It came with my ported number from Cricket on the sticker. It was a pain trying to get ahold of someone who would open an Att Prepaid account for me. The SIM card was already activated but had no account. Once I had an account I had to wait and restart my phone to get a password for the account that was sent through text. Then I bought 6 Att Prepaid gift cards from Target and put them on the account. My service has been working great since then. Took a awhile going through all this though. It wasn't long after that Citi sent me a fraud alert saying Att was trying to charge me $320+ (from the original transaction. I declined it.

In the end I spent $256.50 target redcard + $5.37 SIM = $261.87‬/12 = $21.82 a month for a year!

Now I need to do this for my wife's account but we still have $70 from gift cards on our Cricket account.
Similar experience when I was porting from sprint. Getting a CSR was a pain but once got hold of one and gave the sim number everything was completed in 5-10 min. She asked me to wait until she processes the payment info but I told her that I have refill cards and I would do it online (at this point I was able to log in at https://www.paygonline.com). A little later, ATT tried to charge my card (given at the time of paying for the sim) for $301.5 but it did not go through as I had locked the card in the morning expecting this. Then I went to Target website and bought 6, $50 cards for $270 with paypal+discover (5% back), effectively making it $256.5. It took about 30 min to get the pin from Target and once loaded everything worked fine.

Edit: Prepaid data speed (4-5Mbps down) is much slower than my postpaid speed (40+ Mbps). It was the same experience across different devices.

Does anyone know if they throttle the speed if you use the data as a mobile hotspot? I'm currently on a Verizon unlimited postpaid plan and I use my mobile hotspot for work a lot, but Verizon throttles it to 600kbps or below fairly often. If anyone confirms that they don't throttle this would be an easy switch for me.

Also, can I use this on my Verizon LG G6? I did a quick google search and it looks like I can.

When does your 360-day period begin, is it the date you submit the online order or the date you activate your SIM and pay the account in full?

Yeah no idea why this so popular so fast, every GSM carrier has $25 unlimited talk text, 8gb uncapped speed with roll over, with mobile hot spot, and calling text to Mexico canada on a premium network🤔
But none of those GSM "carriers" support E-SIM... there is a difference between MVNOs and a real carrier.

Republic wireless
Stay away from Republic Wireless as they are not a real carrier or even a MNVO. They are are a VOIP provider... you will find certain things just do not work "by design". For example, does your city/county have the ability to call for service by calling 311? Nope, call will not go through...

I got the same reply and couldn't activate it. I am returning 4 sims cards back for refund. Changed my porting pin on sprint & told them to cancel all port out request.
Thanks. I would have really thought a port from another carrier would have been "new" for this purchase.

Thanks, I would say the Walmart AT&T deal is still better.

First month service charge & applicable sales tax due at sale. Excludes upgrades. After high-speed data allotment is used, data speeds slowed to 128Kbps. Other fees, charges, & restrictions apply."

My assumption is that att prepaid is as fast as postpaid. If not not so much better than cricket that limits download to 8mbps. Can anyone confirm this as well?

It happened across two days and i have used only 200mb so far. I will try again tomorrow and update.

Edit1: 8/19. checked it today and the same thing. prepaid was 4-5mbps while the postpaid was 40+.

Edit2: 8/20. checked the account again and saw data saver was still on (I remember disabling it...). Once off, the speed returned to normal.

Already on ATT prepaid and have about $60 of credit balance. How do I switch to this deal? I do have a google voice account/number but not sure about the logistics.

I received my sim card over the weekend and all is good. For some reason I can't get the multiple lines discount as per link below. When I log into my prepaid ATT account I do get the multi-lines option but I don't see the 8G package and lines discounts as per attached screeshot. Either I am doing something wrong or this link is just downright misleading.

Got one line and is shipping now. How do I add 3 more lines to the same account as per this link?

So I can get the multi lines discount. I wish I could order 4 lines all together and be done with it. I am really confused and they chat support is pretty worthless.
