Oh gosh why do you continue writing your username after your post 😱
Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.

Purchased yesterday, even though total was shown $336.67, only $5.30 was charged.

The sim was delivered this morning.

Bought 6 $50 prepaid cards for $270 from Target online, used PayPal with Discover card for 5% cash back. Applied them at paygonline, phone is working after entering last prepaid card's PIN.

Next due day is Sep 12, but due amount is $0.00.

Update:

Unfortunately get a message this morning said my credit card was charged for $332. Have to call AT&T, they did process a refund to my credit card.
HI, I wanted to exactly what you did, i.e. get prepaid cards and pay for this. I will be getting a new phone number, how can you pay with prepaid cards without an online account? Can I create an account without activating the new phone?

When I ordered, I selected get new number(I use Google voice so number is not important to me), so AT&T sent the order confirmation with my prepaid phone number in the email.

After I got the SIM, I put it in my phone, then just went to www.paygonline.com, enter my phone number, with last four digits of phone number as temporary password. It then sent a message to the phone with code that I used to log in.

So this may not work if you try to port in number.

AT&T prepaid is kind of a disaster when it comes to service. They activated me with the wrong area code (the other side of the state), and when I called to change it to the right one (in the zip code where I ordered the SIM, had it delivered, billed the credit card to, etc), they said they couldn't without deactivating the current account and sending me a new SIM (and forfeiting the $300 balance).

Because they activated it in the "wrong market" there's no other way to change the number to my current area code. ??? This is a backup phone line for my spouse so I guess we'll survive, but it's annoying.
So you can't do a number change to the correct area code?
They sent me a 443 area code. Think that's like Maryland or something. I'm in NC.

I won't activate it until I get the correct area code. Says on the box that it's not activated. I'll see later tonight.

Ya got me kinda worried now cuz my number is about 25 years old and they changed the area codes around here a long time ago. I wonder if there's a way to request a certain area code from At&t that's different then your current address.

Is there a way to do 2 lines/sims at the same time? I can only seem to do one at a time...how do you manage multiple lines after activation, can you login to 1 account, or does it treat them as independent?

Got one line and is shipping now. How do I add 3 more lines to the same account as per this link?

https://www.att.com/att/prepaid-m...-discount/

So I can get the multi lines discount. I wish I could order 4 lines all together and be done with it. I am really confused and they chat support is pretty worthless.

So I got the SIM and a new number. Wasn't satisfied, so called to have a local area code. Suffice to say, 2 calls didn't go well.

It's possible to change the number for a $10 fee per the automated system. But I decided to reorder another SIM for $5 and send the one they sent me back. So, I should theoretically get my $5 dollars back....We got until 10/21 so AT&T and I can be at it til then.

What a mess for the last 6 hours without service but finally issues resolved.

1. First problem: Initial activation failed and was asked to goto ATT corporate store to get a new sim and activate but the Store rep @Flemington NJ was so rude and did not entertain so I have to call the activation line and somehow got hold of a rep. They were able to resolve it after taking IMEI number and the sim sent by ATT initially. Once that is done porting my number was smooth. Number ported in 5 minutes got text messages from ATT that number porting successful. I suggest people to call prepaid activation number instead of self activation.

2. Second problem: could not make any calls/receive calls or texts except ATT. So I called 611 to get help and the automated message that I do not have sufficient funds and asked me to process payment online. I created my prepaid account and processed payment $319 (incl tax)- got error twice using the same card (Amex Green) then I tried Amex Blue one more time but no luck. I called Amex to find out the status and they told me that they see two pending payments on my green and one on blue and told me that ATT should collect the money.

Called ATT by using 611 and the REP told that they have to contact VESTA payment team and took my alternate number - waited for 4 hours without service… then I called again.. this time the rep told me (after 30 min) to process smaller amounts the first one 25 and second one for 275. The first one was success for 25 and second one failed again. This time the rep has to get someone from payment systems to process it manually and payment failed after confirmed to process. He then contacted Amex customer service but they denied to be on call so he took it to next level of security questions to process payments like street address etc…

FINALLY second payment went thru for 275 and my phone is activated.. suggest using visa or master to see if this is something to do with Amex..
I am finally happy that I am seeing 70MBps download and 12 MBps of upload - super happy with speeds.

After they have activated your line (and/or porting over your number if you are), you can go to the following website to register your number:
https://www.paygonline.com/websc/loginPage.html

Once you are logged in, there's an option under "Make payment" to use the refill card.
So can you please confirm that we will know our number before activation therefore we can go to this website and register to add prepaid gift cards? Once we do that our credit card will not be charged. Some one else posted that their card got charged despite paying with prepaid cards loaded to the account

I had the same issue - call 877-426-0525 and ask them to activate it. Took about 5min and my Tmobile automatically disconnected and the ATT line started working.

When I received my sim in mail the phone number was on a label with my name affixed to the package

So, this is my 2nd time ordering a SIM for the plan. First time I got a Baltimore #. This time, I just got the email giving me a West Virginia number. I'm in NC. What I gather from this is that you will probably get an out of state number and not one related to your zip code. I mean, even an in state number would be nice.
