Oh gosh why do you continue writing your username after your post 😱
Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.
mint is $240 for a yr on their 1 yr/8gb plan. They also have buy 3 months get 3 months free promotion for New comers right now

Without getting into the fact that most of the fees are either padded or pure AT&T profit, e.g. the federal USF rate is 20.1% not 24.4%, I don't pay it. Does AT&T swallow it? Who knows? It's irrelevant because I don't - nor anyone else with an AT&T Prepaid account - pay 24.4% and a bunch of profit recovery fees on refills, and I have a ton of receipts and AT&T Prepaid account payment logs to prove it. I've bought "official" AT&T refills both in an AT&T store and through my Prepaid account; EVERY time, I get charged sales tax + $0.40 e911 fee. That's it. No USF, no regulatory fees, cost recovery fees. This yearly deal? Plan + sales tax + e911 fee.

Needlessly? It's obvious you don't have an AT&T Prepaid account and don't know what you're talking about, yet you're spouting this misleading crap and scaring off people for whom this deal may actually work. You need to knock this off because 1) anyone with an account on AT&T Prepaid who has bought refills knows you are wrong, and 2) these posts, including the ones about AT&T's impending bankruptcy, are so egregiously bad that I'm beginning to get embarrassed for you.
Again, you're spewing false info and posting like a complete imbecile. You CAN NOT pay for this AT&T prepaid service with refill cards. It mandates you pay with a CC at checkout, NO EXCEPTIONS. They have changed everything in this new promo. Go ahead share with us how to pay for this with your refill cards!

I chatted with and called the customer service, and it seemed it required new lines activation.
I got the same reply and couldn't activate it. I am returning 4 sims cards back for refund. Changed my porting pin on sprint & told them to cancel all port out request.

Need help activating it

At the time of order, total was 304.99 but ATT only charged 4.99 for the sim.

so how do I pay $300 and get this plan activated?
I gave port in details while ordering
Yay! Finally get to chime in on a deal.

I had the same thing happen to me. Once I got the SIM card I called AT&T to have my phone number ported over. The rep was able to port over the number and the SIM card was activated. However, something messed up on AT&T end and my payment did not go through, they told me I had to call the payment verification specialist at 866.608.3007, which is a number that requires an active and paid phone line. Since my phone was ported over and I had no money in my account I wasn't able to call the number they gave me!

So my work around was to activated my phones by buying $300 worth of AT&T Prepaid Phone Card from Target - (2x$100 and 2x$50). Which saved me $15 with their sale of BOGO at 10% off. Then I went to the AT&T Prepaid website https://www.paygonline.com/websc/refill.html and paid with the phone cards. Once all $300 was deposited, my phone was activated automatically.

Once my phone was activated I called the payment verification center, and they assured me the pending payment on my credit card would not be charged.

So, you might just skip the step in tying to pay with your credit card and pay with the phone cards.

Wow, that would make this $225.00 for the year when Meijer has their buy one get one for 50% off prepaid card sale going. Be nice if it could somehow work for all of us!!!

Been getting my Cricket cards for 25% off but it's the first time I've seen Meijers do the 25% off on At&t Prepaid.

I've tried to make a payment online but their system always gave me an error message that my payment was failed. I've tried many times with different credit cards but no lucky. Then, I found I have 6 pending transactions to at&t in my bank account with the same number. That means I've paid almost $2000 to AT&T because their website issue. Called them and they said they will reject the pay and all money will back to my account. I'll not use their online service anymore.

Thanks Op!

Something happened with my payment, so I was only charged for the sim card, so I had to call in to activate the sim. They asked for payment over the phone, but I got disconnected, luckily. So I tried to pay online and saw the option to use a refill card. I remembered the target deal and used my red card. Slickdeal

Not true.. I guess it's depends on the CS whom you was talking to.. I did port out from Sprint to this plan yesterday l. But had some challenges in getting the correct support person on the line to activate this promotional plan instead of the regular $30 plan.

Anyone have luck converting their account? I'm paying $45 after taxes for essentially the same plan on AT&T today. I'd obviously like to pay less for the same thing.

in the same boat, any luck?
