Oh gosh why do you continue writing your username after your post 😱
Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.

I just switched to Verizon prepaid its horrid! They throttle my data to dial up speeds most of the time. Cant wait to get off. I'll try att for a month, but if that is more of the same I'll go back to simple mobile. They weren't great either, but my speeds weren't throttled.
I switched from VM to Verizon PP and agree. My speeds are horrid, sometimes I cant even get service either. I wasn't expecting post paid quality service but its such a disappointment. Been a year and much hasn't changed. Gonna look into switching again next month to ATT or MInt.

I just signed a "trial" 3 month Mint Mobile to try them out after leaving Sprint. I want to like their service, but cannot send pictures in text messages. Does anyone know a fix for this? Related YouTube vids aren't helping. Thanks.

They told me 0 tax and fees and that the $300 covered everything for the first year.
One person posted that out of the two plans that he bought, one was taxed and the other wasn't????

The Deal is not $300! I work for AT&T and can tell you the deal is not what it appears after you read the fine print. It's a bit misleading to claim the price is only $25 a month! The real price is closer to $33 a month after taxes so it comes out to $401 a year! What is NOT stated in the details is the FACT that AT&T will credit your account with $300 dollars towards the plan and then deduct $25 dollars every month (plus any overages, like international long distance, if any) from the temporary holding account at AT&T but they will charge the additional $5-$10 in taxes from your credit card directly or if you don't setup CC autopay they will deduct the monthly taxes and overages every month from your AT&T holding account. No matter how you slice the deal, you will deplete your $300 balance by month 9 which will force you to top off starting at month 9 of your service or your service will cease to operate from month 9 through month 12!
I'm pretty sure my taxes are not even over $.50 per month. I have been with att prepaid for almost a year now.

Thanks RtwoM for posting the fine print. Generally AT&T billing systems are not built for complex calculations, tend to mess up in their favor.

The Target BOGO prepaid card deal might be the way to go to save some $ - I need two lines of service though, one for me and one for my wife. Does At&t prepaid have a limit on the number of prepaid cards you can use at one time to pay account fees? I'd need to burn $600 worth - 4 $100 cards and 4 $50 ones (I already had a couple on hand I got as gifts - I was planning on signing up anyway before this deal came along)

The rep told me $25 a month plus $1.50 taxes, but I just read on reddit that a csr told somebody that it would be $50 a month, $40 with autopay.
Different plan. That's the exclusive Walmart/AT&T 8GB + 17GB bonus plan for $40 with autopay.

I call B.S. They've never done this type of offer and that's not how it works when you load refill cards.

The 8GB plan is $50 or $40 w/autopay. Has been for like a year when it replaced the 6GB $45/$40 plan. Recent promos have added bonus data TO THIS PLAN, but it's always been set up in the account as a $50 plan with discounts or bonus data.

I don't know that we've seen a screen shot of anyone's account who has signed up, but I'm making a educated guess that this will be set up as a $50/8GB plan with a $25/mo. discount added to the account each month for the next 12 months. After 12 months the discount will expire and deal goes away. It's not a $25 plan...it's a $50 plan with a promo. Hmm...wonder where they got the idea for that garbage marketing ::cough:: Directv ::cough::

Not in this new billing setup. In the old days you would be correct but not anymore. Pay attention to the monthly fee which shows $0 with an asterisk during checkout. The new billing setup is very deceiving. Trust me, you will pay $5-$10 in taxes every month depending on state you're in. Don't take my word for it, call customer service and they will tell you the same thing.
