Oh gosh why do you continue writing your username after your post 😱
Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.
mint is $240 for a yr on their 1 yr/8gb plan. They also have buy 3 months get 3 months free promotion for New comers right now

It's a setting in your profile called "signature" that gets added automatically to the end of everything you post - you have to go through the web site (instead of the app) to change it.

Very tempted to do this since I'm tired of my 2gb/month cricket plan that costs more even when buying discounted $30 cards at target, but I've gotta wait at least a month as I have $60 in credit and can't unlock my phone yet (just 2 more weeks for *that*). I wonder though if this plan is available for ipads at all.

Thats what i thought so. 8gb/year doesnt make any sense...
?
Tracfone yearly plan is 1.2 GB for around $100, 1.5 GB for around 125 . OR 1200/1500 mins. OR 1200 / 1500 texts, for the entire period. 8 GB for a year is around 600 MB per month; I see Redpocket with plans offering 500 MB per month.
I still see those cards in many retail outlets, so obviously there are still buyers.. for someone who doesn't need too much, and would rather pay $100 instead of $300..

Good deal, but do consider that prepaid gets lower priority vs post pay in case of congestion on tower
This is what is keeping me from jumping on the deal. I have T-Mobile in NYC and sometimes data does not go through. Same with friends who have AT&T (post). Verizon seems to be the most solid (although before I switched to T-Mobile a few years ago, I was also experiencing data drops).

It's not AT&T, it's Sprint. Works okay, but no hotspot option was a problem for me.

this! this is why I don't use Mint anymore, I just couldn't send pictures or gifs in texts on an Android device. iMessage texts worked fine on an iPhone.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't have an answer to the question. I contacted Mint support and they'd just keep bouncing you so I switched to ATT :/
Updating APN settings should help; specifically mmsc. You can find Android APN settings in the link below. I just sent an mms to test and it worked just fine

This is directly from the terms and conditions:

Other monthly charges: Apply per line and may include taxes, federal and state universal service charges, Regulatory Cost Recovery Charge (up to $1.25), gross receipts surcharge, Administrative Fee, and other government assessments which are not government-required charges. Additional one-time charges may apply. See att.com/additionalcharges for more details on other charges for your area. In some areas, discretionary fees, taxes, or charges such as E911 fees will be debited from your AT&T PREPAID account balance as the law allows.
This sounds very much like the wording of signing up for a newspaper. Let's say the promo headline is "Sign up for 12 months for $20. T&C: Special editions (like Thanksgiving) cost extra and will be deducted from balance." THEN, 6 months later they send you a bill because your initial $20 is gone and you find out they charged you $10 for Thanksgiving issue. Jerks.

Any cheap options for unlimited talk/text? Like less then 10bucks. Not needed any data as I just need to attend office meetings with out having to worry about charging my personal phone ...

Red pocket is like $20/mo for 5 gigs of data on att network.
Is there any benefit of going Red Pocket over ATT prepaid? Or any negatives? Neither roam.

I will think about it. But I hardly ever use all my 5gb for $30 a month on tmobile.

I wonder if the free mlb.tv sub is gonna be back next year

Assuming the merger actually finalizes, I would think Tmobile will be very aggressive right after. This includes keeping the nice MLB.TV perk.
EDIT: It's insane some states are still suing to stop this merger. Sprint network is absolutely horse hockey no matter how you put it and they will go under if this doesn't go through. Sprint losing customers like crazy lately. This is their lifeline. Without it, they are done. I'm on their free for a year plan and have to move their service is so bad. Pretty pathetic you can't give away a service for free and actually keep subscribers.
