Oh gosh why do you continue writing your username after your post 😱
Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.

So, this is my 2nd time ordering a SIM for the plan. First time I got a Baltimore #. This time, I just got the email giving me a West Virginia number. I'm in NC. What I gather from this is that you will probably get an out of state number and not one related to your zip code. I mean, even an in state number would be nice.
Why do you care ? You dont pay long distance and as far as I'm aware no carrier charges for long distance calls anymore ...West Virginia number is not bad imo

I had the same issue - call 877-426-0525 and ask them to activate it. Took about 5min and my Tmobile automatically disconnected and the ATT line started working.
Great It worked. Thank you Smilie

When I ordered, I selected get new number(I use Google voice so number is not important to me), so AT&T sent the order confirmation with my prepaid phone number in the email.

After I got the SIM, I put it in my phone, then just went to www.paygonline.com, enter my phone number, with last four digits of phone number as temporary password. It then sent a message to the phone with code that I used to log in.

So this may not work if you try to port in number.
thanks , im not porting a number but getting a new one. so i hope they wont charge the card after i use my prepaid cards. your old message said your card was charged, were you able to resolve the issue?

I received my SIM card today and put it in my phone. It came with my ported number from Cricket on the sticker. It was a pain trying to get ahold of someone who would open an Att Prepaid account for me. The SIM card was already activated but had no account. Once I had an account I had to wait and restart my phone to get a password for the account that was sent through text. Then I bought 6 Att Prepaid gift cards from Target and put them on the account. My service has been working great since then. Took a awhile going through all this though. It wasn't long after that Citi sent me a fraud alert saying Att was trying to charge me $320+ (from the original transaction. I declined it.

In the end I spent $256.50 target redcard + $5.37 SIM = $261.87‬/12 = $21.82 a month for a year!

Now I need to do this for my wife's account but we still have $70 from gift cards on our Cricket account.

It took me about 20 minutes, talked with three CSRs to fix the problem. The first lady told me to call billing but gave me wrong number. The second gentleman gave me right billing department number after researched my payment history. The lady on billing processed refund immediately. But said it would take up to three business days for it to show up. So I am still waiting.

Before the refund, my balance shown $300 positive, now it shows $0 balance.

Thanks again for responding. I feel confident that I can take the risk and buy the prepaid cards now. I checked with Meijer and they don't accept returns on prepaid cards just wanted to make sure before I spend 300$.

Sorry for a basic question. Can I use my existing SIM and add the plan. But when I add the plan it charges me for the SIM and no way to remove it. How do I port my existing number to this deal?

I was able to switch from postpaid (individual line) to this prepaid offer and kept my existing number thanks to reps in loyalty and prepaid departments.

1. I called 611 & asked for loyalty department. Told the rep about wanting to switch to this prepaid offer and keeping my number.

2. Loyalty Rep successfully changed my account to prepaid, but she wasn't able to add this plan since it's an online only offer. She said my account is left as default ($2 plan) and I would need to go online to order this plan. (My existing number and SIM card remain the same. )

3. I called 611 again. Since my account was already switched to prepaid, it automatically went to prepaid department. I told the rep that I wanted this plan. She added the plan for me and said the process will be completed once the amount is paid in full. Payment can be done over the phone or online.

4. Once I submitted the full payment, I received a text from at&t that my plan charge was successful. Smilie

Thanks OP and everyone here for sharing.

So you were able to port directly from Cricket without moving to another network in between?

So you were able to port your number directly from Cricket without going to an intermediary MVNO or other network? During a Chat with ATT yesterday I was told the $25 offer required a new line of service with a new phone number.
